Well, I've started to write a fan - fic. I hope you enjoy. I've done nine "days", so I'll post them all at once right now. but the next times, i will post maximum 3 at a time. Also, don't be surprised if some of them are really short. There is a BIG size range

Brendan’s Pokemon Diary

Day 1
Current Location: Blackthorn City

Dear Diary,

Well, I’m finally moving away from my home, Goldenrod City, in Johto and I am moving to the little village in Hoenn called Littleroot Town. I really liked Johto but who knows, maybe Hoenn will be better.

Well, I’m right now in the moving truck. There are no windows in this truck but I’m guessing that I’m in Blackthorn City right now. In Blackthorn City, there is a bridge that leads to Littleroot.

It’s pretty late (9:43pm) so I’m going to close for tonight. Tomorrow, I’ll start writing.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 2
Current Location: Littleroot Town

Dear Diary,

I have arrived in Littleroot Town. The ride was pretty uncomfortable but I’m here.

My house is not the best house I could’ve imagined but it’s not at all bad. I have my own room and my dad bought me a clock. Speaking of by dad, he’s the Petalburg City Gym Leader. Petalburg City is not that far away from Littleroot Town.

My mom said that tomorrow I could get my own pokemon from Prof. Birch, Hoenn’s pokemon professor. He sounds like a good professor but he’ll probably never be as good as Prof. Elm. And I bet you that none of his starters will be as good as Cyndaquil.

Sadly, I had to release Cyndaquil before boarding the truck that arrived here. I don’t know why my mom told me to; she probably didn’t want me to have Johto pokemon in Hoenn.

Well, I’m going to sleep early (7:36pm) because I don’t want to be late to get my pokemon tomorrow, so I’ll close for tonight.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 3
Current Location: Littleroot Town

Dear Diary,

I’ve just gotten my starter pokemon; Fiery the Torchic. It’s a very cute pokemon and it reminds me of Cyndaquil.

I can’t wait to start my journey in Hoenn! Now that I’ve learned more about it, Hoenn seems as good as Johto, and maybe even better.

Well, I’m going to start my journey tomorrow and rest in Odale Town.

Oh yes; I also have a new friend; May. She is a sweet girl but I can tell she’s not going to be a good pokemon trainer.

It’s late (10:04pm) and I don’t want to oversleep on the day of my journey beginning so I’m going to go to sleep now.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 4
Current Location: Odale Town

Dear Diary,

I’m now resting in Odale Town. I left Littleroot two hours ago, and now I’m on the road to become Hoenn’s new pokemon champion!

Oh yes, I captured a new pokemon. Meet Zigzag the Zigzagoon!

You might want to know how I captured this friendly Zigzagoon. Well, I’ll tell you.

I had just left Littleroot Town and I was traveling on Route 101 when I saw the Zigzagoon that would soon be mine. At that time, it was not very friendly, but I still wanted to capture it. So, of course, I sent out Fiery. But first I wanted to know more about Zigzagoon. Here’s what my PokeDex had to say:

“Zigzagoon. The Tiny Raccoon Pokemon. Be careful when trying to capture a Zigzagoon because if your pokemon goes too near it, it will get hurt by Zigzagoon’s spikes”

I then realized that Fiery was a very strong pokemon! When I commanded a Scratch attack, Fiery swiped its claws on that Zigzagoon and left a huge mark on it, but even after the super – powerful Scratch attack, that soon – to – be – my – Zigzagoon was not defeated.

So, I commanded another attack; Ember. As soon as I commanded Fiery, it blasted a big ball of fire from its mouth and shot that Zigzagoon, and that made it very, very weak.

Then, I did what any trainer would do; throw a poke ball at Zigzagoon. I threw that ball with hope that in a few seconds, Zigzagoon would stay inside.

Well, what I wanted happened. I caught that Zigzagoon with pride. And I then named it “Zigzag”.

So, I returned Fiery and started walking through Route 101 like I had planned and sooner than I had thought, I was in Odale Town.

So now we’re back in the present tense. I’m in the Odale Town Pokemon Centre and I am resting here until tomorrow.

I didn’t have dinner (it’s 8:42pm), so I’m going to grab a bite from the Pokemon Centre and then go to bed.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 5
Current Location: Route 103

Dear Diary,

I’ve made campsite in Route 103. I would’ve gone back to Odale Town, but it was too late when I wanted to.

You might ask what I did for such a long time in Route 103. The answer is simple: A pokemon battle.

It was against May AKA the girl whom I thought was not going to be a good trainer. But boy was I wrong.

May used a Mudkip named Muddy. I knew that water was super effective against fire, but I never knew that Muddy’s water attacks were so good!

First, I wanted to know what a Mudkip was. So I checked my PokeDex:

“Mudkip. The Mud Fish Pokemon. The fin on Mudkip’s head can track down pokemon from up to 20 miles”

The battle started with Fiery using Ember. It actually did quite a lot of damage because Muddy had a very low defense. Then, Muddy used Water Gun and I then realized that Muddy had bad defense because it had good attack.

So, Fiery kept on using Ember’s and Muddy kept on using Water Guns. Since Ember was not very effective and Water Gun was super effective, Fiery became very weak and Muddy was not that weak.

Luckily I had six spare potions. So, I used one. Fiery felt so much better! I then commanded a Scratch attack since Ember wasn’t doing so much damage. I then saw that the Scratch did a lot of damage to Muddy!

So, I kept on using Scratches and potions when necessary and faster then I had thought I had defeated Muddy.

May complemented me for my first pokemon battle win and told me she was Prof. Birch’s daughter. She then walked away.

I was going to go back to Odale Town to rest in the pokemon centre once again, but I checked my watch and it said 9:18pm, so I just took out my camping tent from my bag.

It’s now 9:38pm, so I’m going to go to sleep.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 6
Current Location: Route 102

Dear Diary,

I’ve made campsite in Route 102. I can’t wait to show dad my cool new pokemon!

Speaking of pokemon, I caught a Poochyena named Da Pooch. And like I did with Zigzag, I’m going to explain how I caught this Poochyena.

I was traveling along Route 102 when I saw a Poochyena, so of course I wanted to catch it. So I sent out Fiery. But first I wanted to know more about Poochyena. So I checked my PokeDex:

“Poochyena. The Bite Pokemon. Poochyena has the ability known as “Run Away”. This is known because Poochyena is always known to run away fast when threatened by a human or other pokemon”

The battle was tough. I now know why Poochyena’s ability is “Run Away”. Every time I commanded an attack, Poochyena ran away before Fiery could attack!

After a long time, Poochyena used a Scary Face attack on Fiery and Fiery got too scared to attack, so I returned it.

So I then sent out Zigzag. I was happy that I trained it in the arts of Speed because when I commanded Zigzag, it caught up to Poochyena and attacked it.

Eventually, Zigzag had attacked Poochyena too many times. So I returned Zigzag and threw a poke ball at Poochyena. Luckily, it stayed inside. And then I named it “Da Pooch”.

So now we’re in the present tense with me, Fiery, Zigzag, and Da Pooch.

Well, I’m going to go to sleep now so I’ll close for tonight.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 7
Current Location: Petalburg Gym

Dear Diary,

I’ve made it to Petalburg City. My dad was so amazed at my 3 pokemon!

Do you want to know exactly what happened in Petalburg City? Well then, listen up.

My dad probably knew that I was coming because when I put my first step into Petalburg, a huge parade started coming and dad greeted me and lead me to his gym.

I then saw that dad had amazing pokemon! He had a Spinda, Vigoroth, Slaking and Linoone.

I had no idea what these were so I checked my PokeDex. Here’s what it said about Spinda:

“Spinda. The Spot Panda Pokemon. Spinda is known as the Spot Panda Pokemon because of the red blotches on its body. Spinda can also be known as the Dizzy Pokemon because of its eye markings”

Wow, I thought. You must be a good trainer to have that pokemon.

Then I checked Linoone.

“Linoone. The Rushing Pokemon. Linoone is the evolved form of Zigzagoon. Linoone can run at major speeds but can only run in straight lines”

Cool, I thought. My dad has the evolved form of Zigzag!

Then I checked Vigoroth. Here’s what it said:

“Vigoroth. The Wild Monkey Pokemon. Vigoroth is usually a tame pokemon, but when mad, it can go crazy”

Better be careful with that pokemon, I thought.

Then I checked the biggest and scariest pokemon: Slaking.

“Slaking. The Lazy Pokemon. Slaking is the evolved form of Vigoroth. When trained, Slaking is an excellent Pokemon, but when not trained, it’s one of the most vicious pokemon in the world”

My dad’s got guts to train that pokemon, I thought.

I wanted to see if I could defeat my dad’s 4 amazing pokemon, so I asked him to battle. But he said no. He said he would battle me only when I had the badges from Rustboro City, Dewford Island, Mauville City and Lavaridge Town.

We’re now in the present tense. My dad has let me sleep in his gym for tonight.

Well, I’m going to go to sleep now. I’ll write my new adventure tomorrow.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 8
Current Location: Mr. Briney’s Cottage

Dear Diary,

I’m resting in the cottage of a man named Mr. Briney. Mr. Briney and his Wingull named Peeko are very nice.

Do you want to know how I met this man known as Mr. Briney? Well, I’ll tell you.

I had just left Petalburg City, when I met up with none other than Prof. Birch. He said that he would meet up with me 5 times throughout my journey to see how I’m doing.

Prof. Birch studied me and my pokemon and complemented me for going all the way to Route 104. He then said that he could trust me to use the Pokemon Navigator, or PokeNav, for short.

I had no idea what a PokeNav was. Then Prof. Birch told me that the PokeDex can not only identify pokemon but items too. He then left.

So I checked my PokeDex to see what this PokeNav thing was. Here’s what it said:

“The Pokemon Navigator. The Pokemon Navigator, or PokeNav for short, is a major tool used in Hoenn. The PokeNav is a system that shows the map of Hoenn and special events happening in Hoenn”

I then kept on traveling along Route 104 when I bumped into a Wingull. I thought it was wild, so I sent out Fiery. But first, I wanted to check what my PokeDex had to say about it:

“Wingull. The Seagull Pokemon. Wingull may look like a small pokemon, but it weighs 211 pounds, which makes it heavier than a Sharpedo”

I didn’t care how that Wingull weighed. I still wanted to catch it.

I knew that Wingull was part Water, so I didn’t bother to use an Ember.

Suddenly, a white circle started to move around Fiery’s head. At first, I had no idea what that circle was, but I then realized that Fiery learned a new move; Quick Attack.

So I commanded Quick Attack. It did so much damage! In one Quick Attack, the Wingull became very weak.

Suddenly an old man came and picked up the Wingull. He asked me angrily why I had attacked his pokemon and I apologized and said that I thought it was wild.

The man then apologized to me about screaming and introduced himself as Mr. Briney and introduced his pokemon as Peeko. He then offered me to take me to Dewford Island on his boat, but I said I was going to go to Rustboro first.

Mr. Briney then offered me to at least stay in his cottage since the sun was going down. That, I accepted.

Well, I think that Mr. Briney has finished preparing dinner, so I’m going to have something to eat and go to bed.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Day 9
Current Location: Petalburg Woods

Dear Diary,

Well, I’ve made campsite in Petalburg Woods. A lot of strange things happened. But let’s go in order:

At 7:03am, I had awoken. I thanked Mr. Briney for letting me stay with him for the night and I left off to continue traveling through Route 104.

A half an hour after I had left the cottage, I saw a sign that said “Petalburg Woods”. So I checked my PokeNav. It showed Route 104, some woods, some more Route 104, and then Rustboro City. I saw no other way to get to Rustboro, so I decided to enter the woods.

At first, nothing exciting happened. I saw some Wurmple, a few Silcooon and Cascoon and the odd Slakoth. The bugs were extremely weak and the Slakoth wasn’t for me, so I didn’t catch any pokemon.

Soon, I bashed into a man. He started lecturing me about being careful where you’re going and I interrupted the lecture and just said sorry.

The man forgave me. I saw that he was wearing a green sweater, black shirt, white tie and blue jeans. He had brown hair too. He said his name was Bradley or something like that.

Bradley told me that he was looking for the pokemon Shroomish. I said that I had not seen one.

Suddenly, this man with black hair, black bandana, blue jeans and a white and blue shirt came up to Bradley and started saying something about this thing called the Devon Goods. I also heard something about him being part of Team Aqua, an evil organization trying to make more water in the world. The Team Aqua part was the only part I cared about.

The Aqua Grunt was about to steal the Goods when I jumped in front of Bradley to try and save him and the Goods.

The Grunt said that he would never get distracted by a meddling child. So he took out a poke ball and out came a Poochyena.

Then, I sent out Fiery and I commanded a Quick Attack. I remembered my last battle against a Poochyena and what happened. I mean the “Run Away” part. I thought that Quick Attack would be able to catch up with Poochyena.

I was right. Fiery ran at full speed to catch up to Poochyena and then rammed into it. The Grunt then responded to this attack with a Bite attack. Poochyena ran up to Fiery and bit its round body.

I asked Fiery if it was okay and it said yes. So I commanded an Ember. Fiery shot a ball of fire from its mouth and it hit Poochyena before it could run away.

I saw Poochyena get weaker, but that didn’t stop it from battling. The Grunt commanded a Tackle attack and Poochyena rammed into Fiery.

Fiery got angry. Without me commanding it, Fiery shot a huge ball out of its mouth and hit Poochyena. That caused Poochyena to faint.

The Aqua Grunt ran away and said something about Rustboro City. Bradley then thanked me for saving him and he continued to travel through the woods.

I was tired so I set out my tent and started writing.

It’s now 10:04pm so I’m going to go to sleep.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

This has a very interesting concept of telling the story. The diary form, whilst good, will be hard to maintain a story in. But that doesn't mean you should stop - keep up the good work (man, that's my catchphrase or something)

Jax the Crazy One
Yeah this really is a good story but here are some more ideas
-he should catch a shiny
-catch pokemon not native to Hoenn
-after he beats the elite four he gets a new job (elite four champion, breeder, or Pokemon stylist anyone?)
Well like I said, this is a GREAT story!

Well, I've completed Day 10. Hope you like it!

Day 10
Current Location: Rustboro City

Dear Diary,

I’m now resting in the Rustboro City Pokemon Centre. Getting to Rustboro was boring, but once I got to Rustboro, it got interesting.

Well, let’s start from the beginning. At 8:12am, I took apart my camping tent and stuffed the materials in my bag. Then I continued to walk through Petalburg Woods and Route 104.

Oh yes, I did catch a Shroomish named Dotty. But I’m not going to explain how I caught it because I want to get to the interesting part.

When I had arrived at Rustboro City, it was 9:27am and I saw that Rustboro City was huge! I then started rushing to the Rustboro City Gym when someone stopped me.

The man who stopped me looked strange. He had brown hair, a blue and white shirt and I think he wore black pants. What I did remember was that he wore black sunglasses and never took them off.

I asked him what his name was and he said that I’ll find out in time.

He then started talking to me about pokemon. He told me he was a traveler looking for tough trainers and told me to send out my pokemon to see if they were tough and strong. So I let my 4 pokemon out. The man examined them and complemented me for training them so well. I then returned my pokemon.

The man then asked me what type of adventure I was going on. I didn’t understand because I thought there was only the Hoenn League Journey.

Then the man explained about the Grand Festival Journey where you battle in contests. I had no idea what contests were. I was about to check my PokeDex about them, when the man stopped me; he would explain to me.

He told me that in contests, 30 trainers try to get a ribbon. In the 1st round, you don’t battling anyone but you must use your pokemon’s moves in a surprising way and make good combinations. The better you do, the higher points you get from the judges. There are 3 judges and each judge can give you up to 10.0 points so a perfect score would be 30.0.

Then the 8 trainers who did the best advance to the second round. Then, the trainers get partnered and battle each other. They must use combinations in their battles and try to make their battles look nice.

A battle lasts for five minutes. On the screen, there is a picture of both trainers who are battling and a yellow bar under their picture. That is their HP bar. Whoever has the least amount of yellow on their bar in five minutes or their pokemon cannot battle some more is defeated and the winner advances to the semi – finals.

The semi – finals have 4 trainers and each one gets paired up again and they battle again.

Those 4 become 2 and then the two battle. The winner of that battle will win the contest and get a ribbon.

I then thanked the man for explaining but asked him what the Grand Festival was. The man then started to explain.

He said that when you get 5 ribbons (there are 7 contest places so you can only afford to lose 2) you go to the Grand Festival. There, you battle many trainers in a contest battle. The winner of all the battles gets the Ribbon Cup. But it is very hard to get the Ribbon Cup since there are many trainers.

I thanked the man for explaining the Grand Festival and contests and I decided to go on the Grand Festival Journey. But before I could tell the man my decision, he had left.

I checked my PokeNav to see where the nearest contest was and it said “Slateport City”. So, I went to the Rustboro Pokemon Centre and ate.

It’s now 9:49pm, so I’m going to close for tonight.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

Interesting idea, most diaries on this board are Ash diaries, which are kinda boring since they're just like the anime. Diary format is hard to maintain, so remember that just because you're doing a diary story doesn't mean you shouldn't try to use description and other things the same way they'd be used in a story. Also, I suggest not following the plot of the game. Be creative and find other, more interesting ways for things to happen (going to dewford) or just exclude them (nothing says their has to be a forest encounter with a team member). Please don't let Brendan find a shiny unless you have a very good and interesting reason that you can worlk into the story with it still making sense. Realistically, the odds are against thim tremendously of finding a shiny. Good work so far, and remember to keep it unique.

I know. i made a mistake. There are 7 places and you can only afford to lose 2. I edited Day 10 to say that.

Day 11 has come!

Day 11
Current Location: Mr. Briney’s Boat

Dear Diary,

I’m on Mr. Briney’s boat right now. My destination is Slateport City!

Well, let me tell you everything that happened before I got on the boat.

I woke up at 9:15am and got out of the Pokemon Centre. I then started looking for that man who talked to me the day before.

While I was looking for him, I thought about what he told me about contests and I decided; I would never change my mind about contests. I was going to be a master coordinator!

An hour went by and I still hadn’t found the man. I decided to give up. But I didn’t know where to go next.

So I checked my PokeNav. It said that to get to Slateport City, you must go on the water routes. But I didn’t have a water pokemon.

Then I remembered that Mr. Briney offered me to take me on his boat. Maybe that would take me to Slateport.

So I started heading to Mr. Briney’s cottage. I saw a few wild pokemon and battled them to train my pokemon. But none of them I wanted.

I finally arrived at Mr. Briney’s cottage. I asked him if he could take me to Slateport and he said he would be glad to. I also told him about my contest decision and he thought my decision was great.

So I went into the boat and Mr. Briney put in the keys and started the engine.

Well, it’s been an hour on this boat. I think I’m almost at Slateport but I’m too seasick to write another entry on the boat so my next entry will be off the boat.

Until tomorrow,
Brendan

I was going to do gym badges, but I thought it was too boring. so I did contests to make it interesting.

EDIT: For everybody reading, I probably won't have time to write tomorrow, but Day 12 will definitely be up by Thursday!

EDIT: I'm really sorry, but I might not be able to get Day 12 done by Thursday. Maybe Friday, definitely Saturday. Also, the next few days will be coming quickly since I have 2 weeks off of school starting on Monday.

Well, I got Day 12 done early, so I'll post it now. Here it is!

Day 12, Entry 1
Current Location: Slateport Contest Hall

Dear Diary,

I am right now in the Slateport contest hall. I’ve started the contest and I’m so excited!

I’ll tell you everything that happened today.

The day started by me waking up on Mr. Briney’s ship at 10:10am and I didn’t feel the boat moving. I went to Mr. Briney and he said that we had arrived at Slateport overnight. So excited, I quickly thanked Mr. Briney for the ride and dashed off the boat.

By 11:21am, I had arrived at the Slateport contest hall. I rushed inside and filled in my application to compete. The woman at the front desk said that I was contestant 19. So I went to the waiting room.

Then something very unpleasant happened; I met a very rude coordinator. His name was Ryan and he had a Castform.

Ryan bragged on and on that he would be the winner of the Slateport contest and I had no chance of winning. I was about to just punch him in the face, but I calmed myself down.

Half an hour later, the TV in the waiting room turned on and the judge announced that the contest was starting. Then, a kid with a Gulpin went onto the stage.

Around 15 minutes later, we heard the judge call contestant 8 who happened to be Ryan. He got up and gave me the “I’m going to win and you’re not” face.

I saw Ryan’s performance on the television. He was amazing! In the end, his score was 29.2. That’s a hard score to beat.

After Ryan, people continued to go up. Someone actually thought this was a gym and ran away.

Well, the TV just turned on a minute ago calling contestant 19, so I’ll have to close. I’ll write later today.

Until a little while,
Brendan

The 2nd part of Day 12 is here!

Day 12, Entry 2
Current Location: Slateport Contest Hall

Dear Diary,

The contest is continuing and I’ve made it to the second round!

I’ll tell you everything that happened.

First, like I told you before, the TV went on calling contestant 19 so I went on stage. I then sent out Fiery and it made a beautiful appearance!

Next, I took 3 orange balls and put them onto the floor. I commanded Fiery to use Quick Attack on the balls and did it. The balls went flying; just what I wanted.

Then, I commanded Fiery to jump into the air and use Scratch on the balls. So, Fiery did that and the balls turned into pieces of confetti and carefully floated to the ground.

I then took one more ball and commanded Fiery to use Ember on it and it did. Then, I commanded Fiery to use a Gust attack to blow out the fire, since Fiery had recently learned Gust. And Fiery did that too. It blew the flaming ball so all the fire disappeared and made a wonderful appearance.

Lastly, I returned Fiery and the judges rated me. My final score was 27.4.

I returned to the waiting room and a few more trainers came. Finally, the TV went on to call contestant 30 to the stage and a little girl with a Spoink left the room.

When the girl with the Spoink came back, the TV went on announced the 8 trainers that would advance to the next round. They were:

1. Ryan and Castform – 29.2
2. Melissa and Spoink – 28.7
3. Lance and Corphish – 28.4
4. Zach and Kirlia – 28.1
5. Lily and Spinda – 27.9
6. Lindsay and Shuppet – 27.7
7. Luke and Bagon – 27.5
8. Brendan and Torchic – 27.4

I was absolutely overjoyed to see that I made it to the second round, but disappointed that Ryan did too.

Then, on the TV, the host partnered us up for the second round battles. The partners were:

Ryan VS Lily
Melissa VS Luke
Lance VS Lindsay
Zach VS Brendan

I then turned around and saw a boy with a Kirlia looking at me with the same “I’m going to win and you’re not face” that Ryan gave me.

Well, the TV is going to go on any minute to tell who’s battling so I’d better close now. I’ll write after round 2.

Until a little while,
Brendan

Do you know what I love about this story?
I love that in the show they just skip all the rounds may battles unless it's a rival battle. Urs isnt like that. I think ur contests are even better then the show!

Okay, here's part 3 of Day 12!

Day 12, Entry 3
Current Location: Slateport Contest Hall

Dear Diary,

I’m now back in the contest waiting room. Semifinal round, here I come!

Do you want to know what happened since my last entry? Well, I’ll tell you.

The TV went on and it announced the 1st battle: Ryan VS Lily. The two coordinators then left the waiting room.

I watched their battle on the TV screen and in the end, Ryan won.

I then watched the battle between Melissa and Luke, and Melissa won.

I watched the battle between Lance and Lindsay and Lindsay won.

The contest announcer then announced the 4th battle: me VS Zach. We both went onto the battlefield and began and soon as the clock that said “5:00” turned to “4:59”.

I started by sending out Fiery and when it came out, it sparkled and did a cute little dance. Zach found this annoying, so he sent out his Kirlia.

Kirlia went first. Zach commanded it to use a Psychic on Fiery. Fiery couldn’t escape.

Zach then told Kirlia to use a Swift on Fiery. Yellow stars shot out of Kirlia and flew through the air and hit the floating Fiery.

I then looked on the contest screen and a sixth of my yellow bar disappeared. I also noticed that the clock now said “4:24”. I had to think fast.

Eventually, Kirlia dropped Fiery, but by the time it had, a third of by bar was gone and the clock said “3:51”.

I then commanded Fiery to use a Quick Attack on Kirlia and then start pecking it when it had fallen. That’s exactly what Fiery did.

After Fiery’s attack, a fifth of Zach’s bar was gone and the clock said “3:29”.

Zach then told his Kirlia to use a Psybeam then Confusion on Fiery. After that attack had finished, three quarters of my bar had gone and the clock read “2:50”. I had to find a way to defend myself.

Then, I told Fiery to repeat my Quick Attack and Peck idea and it did. After that attack, Zach’s bar was half gone and the clock read “2:32”.

Zach then commanded Kirlia to use Swift around Fiery to make it confused, and then use Psywave on it. After that, five sixths of my bar was gone and the clock said “1:46”.

I had no idea what to do. I thought and thought and the clock went from “1:43” to “1:31” to “1:24” to “0:59” and I had still not thought of anything. When the clock was “0:42”, I had finally thought of something.

I commanded Fiery to use an Ember and then use Gust to blow the embers closer to Kirlia. Fiery then shot out white, hot embers and blew them to Kirlia and the embers hit it.

After that attack, five sixths of Zach’s bar was gone and the clock read “0:09”.

Then, I saw something amazing! Right in front of my eyes, Fiery used a Slash attack on Kirlia! I knew it had not learned that attack so I wondered how it used it. But after that attack, Zach’s entire bar had disappeared and I had won.

I then went back to the waiting room and a few minutes later, the TV flash on. The announcer paired the 4 winners. The pairs were:

Ryan VS Melissa
Lindsay VS Brendan

I then looked at a girl with a Shuppet who didn’t give me the dreadful “I’m going to win and you’re not” face. She just smiled and waved at me.

Well, there’s nothing more to write, so I’ll close now. I’ll write after the semifinal round.

Until a little while,
Brendan

Highly Radioactive
Pretty good. Though I must say if it hasn't been pointed out before, you referred Fiery as "it" before which is not true. Give him/her a gender.

I've been thinking about the gender thing. There might be an episode where Brendan meets a man/woman who tells Brendan his pokemon's gender.

Well, I promised part 4 of Day 12, so here it is!

Day 12, Entry 4
Current Location: Slateport Contest Hall

I’m back in the contest hall and there’s only one more step to becoming the Slateport Contest champion!

Do you want to know exactly what happened? Well, I’ll tell you.

It all started when the TV screen flashed on and the announcer called Ryan and Melissa and they left the waiting room.

I watched their battle. It was long but in the end, Ryan won.

A few minutes later, the screen turned on again calling Lindsay and I. We both left the contest room.

Like Zach, I started when the clock turned from “5:00” to “4:59”.

First I sent out Fiery. It wanted to look cute so it made a little “Macho Pokemon” pose. Then, Lindsay sent out her Shuppet.

Lindsay went first. She commanded her Shuppet to use Glare to make Fiery scared and then to use Lick. After that attack, a fifth of my bar was gone and the clock said “4:36”.

After that, I commanded Fiery to use a Gust on Shuppet to blow it to the ground and then use Scratch. That’s exactly what Fiery did. After that, a quarter of Lindsay’s bar was gone and the clock read “4:02”.

Next, Lindsay commanded Shuppet to stick out its tongue to make Fiery angry and then, when Fiery’s not concentrating, use a Shadow Ball. After knowing what to do, Shuppet stuck out its tongue at Fiery and Fiery became so mad, it didn’t even notice a Shadow Ball hit him.

After that attack, half of my bar was gone and the clock read “3:47”.

After that, I commanded Fiery to use a Quick Attack to knock Shuppet to the ground, and then use Gust to blow it away and knock it into the wall. Fiery did exactly what it was told.

After this attack, two thirds of Lindsay’s bar was gone and the clock read “3:23”.

Next, Lindsay told Shuppet to use the same tongue and Shadow Ball system again. Once again, Shuppet stuck out its tongue but Fiery already knew what Shuppet was doing. Fiery didn’t get angry and when the Shadow Ball came, Fiery knocked it back to Shuppet and that’s who it hit.

After that, the clock read “2:56” and Lindsay’s bar was three quarters gone.

Then I commanded Fiery to use a Gust to knock Shuppet into the wall and then send an Ember at it. That’s what Fiery did.

After that attack, five sixths of Lindsay’s bar was gone, but Shuppet couldn’t battle anymore. It was too weak.

The announcer announced me the winner and told me to go back in the waiting room.

I returned to the waiting room. I didn’t need to know who I was facing in the final round; I knew it was Ryan.

Well, the TV just went on announcing Ryan and I to come to the stadium, so I’d better close. I’ll write after the final round.

Until a little while,
Brendan

This is a sugestion

i think you should give brendan personality of emotions. You could have a fight between brendan and someone else to make this diary interesting (not a phisycal fight)

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll start writing Brendan's emotions. But what do you mean by fighting; a pokemon batttle or an argument?
