Brick break and barriers

Brick break is a fighting move that breaks light screen and reflect. my question is, if i use (for sake of arguement) my hitmonchan with brick break, against a mr mime that has used barrier, hitmonchan is faster then mr. mime, and the reflect is shattered. is brick breaks damaged reduced on the turn it breaks the reflect?

ummm... I dont think it will be reduced, I think it breaks the reflect before hiting the pokes.

Brick Break breaks the Barrier and it makes it so the it hits without the Barrier's strength. So your Brick Break will hit with its full strength on the turn that it breaks the Barrier. :p

Note: barrier just raises defense of one poke by two stages. reflect raises defense of a whole team (so it continues even if the one who used it switches out) for 5 turns. as far as i know, brick break only goes through reflect and light screen. but, given that, calling them "barriers" in the move description when there's a move named barrier was pretty stupid of nintendo.

i see your point, but reflect and light screen are both affected by brick break, and both are technically barriers... anyhoo thanks for your answers drat and 9voltdude!

Brick Break only breaks Light Screen and Reflect.

No ,any type of barrier.
Although I would like it more if it was to stop protect also.
