Brilliant aura pokemon?

Hello,
I am laazy. I just got back into pokemon. Love the games and the shows it's always been nostalgic. Haven't played the games in a long time. I just got back into them with pokemon shield. Found alot of new things compared to the older games I played. I found two brilliant aura pokemon before the first gym. Are they that common or did I just get they lucky?

They become common for each species if you encounter and battle them several times and know Egg moves much like how using the Dex Nav in ORAS. Brilliant Pokémon becoming more common for a species is much like chain fishing only it can’t be broken.

Both I found I got early on I haven't beat the first gym yet and with both of them I believe I only encountered the pokemon one time before finding the brilliant variant

As I said you need to encounter the species and defeat or catch it and the chances of finding brilliant Pokémon begin and the chance increases each time you encounter another one. Running into Nickit one time makes the game gives you a chance to find another Nickit with a brilliant aura.

If you find a species over 20 times the chances are increased by 1.3. Over 100 times will make it twice as likely to happen. I’ll provide a link that explains everything.
