Great Ball Rank Trainer
Candice & Volkner being shown with Abomasnow and Luxray respectively makes me fear that they’re using the DP teams. Volkner & Flint had some god awful teams in DP so I hope they actually take advantage of the full Sinnoh Dex
I wouldn't mind if they have their DP teams if their movepools get a massive buff . I always liked how their teams weren't monotyped and shook things up from what we saw with trainers in the past, though now that I know the flaws in their teams they at least need a better moveset to make up for the Pokemon's lackluster stats

Abomasnow and Luxray are on their Platinum teams, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Roark & Gardenia were shown with their aces (along with every other major character besides Cynthia iirc) so I don’t know why they’d shown non aces for these two.

I disagree especially since they can have even better move pools on the Platinum additions. I know I’m probably in the minority but I actually like the idea of specialists using one type instead of characters just having random Pokémon thrown on their teams (Seriously why does Volkner have an Octillery & Ambipom?). At the very least have Pokémon that share a common theme like Raihan (Don’t get how Duraludon is supposed to tie in with weather but I digress).

Raihan is running a doubles sand team and steel is immune to sandstorm damage. Basically Raihan is a VGC gym leader.

That’s a weak reason especially considering we had a Dragon Type introduced this generation with an ability that benefits from Sandstorm. Wouldn’t call it a Sand team when the only Pokémon that benefits from Sandstorm is the one that sets it in the first place. VGC players have most of their Pokémon benefiting from the weather.

I don't know that hidden ability wasn't released yet so that would have seemed unfair to me and really they wanted to showcase Gigantamax Duraludon so I get why they made this choice. But would be funny if Raihan used Dracozolt on his team. But yeah that would have been a more optimal team with that instead of Silicobra

It's the only sort of Platinum content that is confirmed.
I just hope we get more somehow, tho those chances are small.

How will they handle Rotoms forms since they didnt introduce them until Plat?

I think it's because those are their most iconic Pokemon.

So what attack do people think Lucario was using? I can only think meteor mash. Any other ideas?
Yes, the move was Meteor Mash. It is part of Lucario’s level-up move set in Sword/Shield (previously a USUM only Egg move).

I like that the Manaphy egg is coming back. I do hope that Darkrai is a permanent feature since there's been no mention of that yet.

Making clothes 'pre-order DLC' and/or mystery gift is just baffling though. Why not just have those in the game to begin with?

It's suspicious that after Roark and Gardenia they just skip all the gym leaders until Candice and Volkner.

As if they want to tease us in who's actually the third gym leader.

Still waiting for Looker and Charon. It's cool that we're getting the Platinum outfits though. I prefer those over the DP ones.

Also interesting to see Candice and Volkner introduced already.
