I think that it would be a good thing for Brock to do something else besides doing what hes doing right now. But he should just take on a few random things like contests and just do something that relates to breeding.
Because if you think about it. If he gets a rival, he will prob get all competitive and lose character and not be the same. IMO!

They should at least make a Pokemon Breeding Contest where Brock at least gets the spotlight.

Supposedly, there was a Breeding Contest in Johto that he went to with Suzie. Though, those seemed to have disappeared. What a shame. It would be cool to see Brock participate in another one of those.

Brock is a guy who cares about Ash and Hikari. He is older and he knows a lot about pokemon (I hope so). I'm not sure what he is going to do. First he said something about pokemon breeding but now he just cooks, cares about mates and flirts with girls. He isn't a battler, he just trains some pokemon. I think he should have a rival. MALE rival. If he has a rival he would do something more to make a real his dream about pkmn breeding.

That is true! Really true, Brock does need a rival. Maybe he will get one but dont you think that he might turn all out of character by getting competitive by seeing his rival around...? And if he does get a rival, what would they try and out do eachother in? 'Ohhhh! Lets see whos the better groomer!' Or something like that... I would like to see what they can do with the rival that Brock may get if he does get one. Maybe he can get a rival but one that is like the rival to Jessie and James. You know... Cassidy and Butch? Now that would be cool!

I'm of the school of thought that thinks the Brock and women gag is getting a little old, but giving him a rival who has luck with the ladies might breathe new life into the long-running joke.
