Bug-catching contest to return?

Personally, i think it should, there could be a day and night one and since the days are returning, it can be scheduled, it could even be a minigame to play online!

Its a nice idea, something I enjoyed in GSC, and the way it works is better than safari zone, you actually battle pokemon catch things, they ARE added to your pokedex, but you only get to keep one pokemon at the end... I like this, but chances are we see something else if anything, maybe a Fishing Tournament, ala the Anime could end up working... But I certainly would like to see a contest like the bug catching contest return in some form

Yse, i'd definetly want to see a return of ANY CONTEST, maybe bug-catching, or fishing, or digging, or lava scurging...
maybe even a pokemon race! (mini game of course)

Yes that would be quite good, as long as you could play it single player as well (against AI)

I would love for Bug Contests to return, as well as other contests.

A fishing contest would be pretty cool, along with maybe a fossil contest that happens only once every month or so, where you have to find a fossil somewhere in a desert, and it's then judged on size, how well you dust it off (Possible touch screen use?) and other random things. Then you get to keep your fossil for later ressurection.

I doubt the Bug Catching Contest will return, but I should imagine that a different contest will take it's place. That contest was unique to GSC. I'm sure GameFreak will come up will anotherinteresting idea though.

wasnt the bug contest some effort to try 'replace' the safari zone?
as they hadn't solved the glitches to it or were worried of more glitches.
it is highly unlikely to return. else they would have put something like that in R/S/E or even in the later parts of Fr/Lg
they may have some sort of competition, im thinking watery ice types if anything though. not bug.
any way it was used as a way to get sun/moon stones, they would have to think of some decent prise to get. kings rock? dragonscale is what i think.
and they have more than just day and night. that may cause a reason for no.
if GF want to put in extras to give players extras to do, then they may consider it.

I hope it returns as it is fun but i think there should be a little more variety in the bugs you find such as have pineco etc. I think they should also have a fishing contest based on weight (pokemon have different heights in the games such as heracross on fire red so why not different weights).

Also there is a chance itll return because day night were in gold but not in ruby and now there back so why not the contest etc?

There was a fishing thing for weight in GSC, the guy at lake of rage. But an actual competition would be bad. Maybe a race surfing, then like going to caves and places?

i didnt think it was that great tbh. the prizes pretty much sucked. they could mae it harder, by havng ultra-rare pokemon that only come out at a certain hour on a certain day...?

Yes. The Bug-Catching Contest was a GREAT feature. Though I'd like to see a different type.

On another thread, I made up a place called the Luna Mountains, which is inhabited by Dark Pokemon. But they've gotten vicious recently, and you had to figure out the cause and fix it. After that, they opened up a contest where you catch Dark Pokemon, like Houndour, Poochyena, Murkrow, and Sneasel.

Yes, the Bug-Contest should return. And fishing-contests too and so on.

There could be a different contests depending on the time of day..

becasue it wil be a cold region, they should have ice racing, like in the anime when ash has to race across the sea and he uses his lapras blahblahbalh.
thats if you have racing.
