They said that Halo was going to still be Microsoft IP, so the only chance that Halo DS would come out is if Microsoft is too lazy to ever make a portable system and they believe that Nintendo is not a threat at all and that by having Halo DS they could take down Sony. Completely probable, but I don't see Microsoft doing that...especially not with free online play...and Nintendo wants all of the games to be free online.
