I don't really understand why Pikachu needs to learn a new move if it is to beat the Ducklett since Thunderbolt is a better option than Electro Ball. Either way, the fact that Pikachu is learning a new move is a plus. It hasn't learned a new move 252 episodes ago!

He didn't NEED to learn the move. It seems like it just kind of...happened. Because of the Ducklett and the umbrella.

It seems like the writers wanted Pikachu to learn electro Ball and thought that this would be the best way to introdce to.

I didn't like Ducklett design wise and based on the appearances I saw of it in the games. But the anime has made me have a liking towards Ducklett. Can't wait for this episode...1: to see the hyper action and 2; soo all the Ash/Krokorok convo could end for now anyway.

i saw the dubbed episode of sandile's first apperance and it seems like a very good pokemon so i think ash might catch it. they did sorta bond by helping the pokemon cross over the boiling water.

Looks like Sandile and Pikachu are battling in the first picture, or maybe working together. I see a leaf or something on Pikachu though...oh wait no that's just the background, still looked like a leaf to me though.

Wonder what attack the Duckletts are using there, Wing Attack seems likely.

Poor Sandile, looks scared. Ash needs to comfort it.

The Ducklett useing Wing Attack might be when Ash and Dento loses their items since the birds have no headgear.
