BW052 - Nimbasa Gym!

I kinda expected better from Pikachu, but I have to admit that it does have a little bit of ground for causing a tantrum. I mean in retrospect, Pikachu is better suit to fighting Emolga since it's also part flying type. But if you ask me, I'm glad he's sitting this one out(like I said stated he would many pages ago, I break tradition, sue me ) And while he maybe desperate for win after the upset at the DBT, the flying gym isn't to far away, sure he'll have to wait till after the 5th gym, but knowing the writers, he'll be in more random battles between that time, so....

Like I said, Pikachu has left Ash in the past, so it could happen again. And of course, I'm talking about a one-episode thing, not a mini-arc like Meowth is getting. I could see Pikachu feeling depressed because Ash didn't have faith in him, which would result in him leaving Ash until he realizes that Ash really does care about him.

But I think we can all agree that Pikachu needs character development of some sort.

Anyway, this tantrum Pikachu has reminds me of his Kanto days where Pikachu had more spunk. So yeah maybe the Bianca and Elesa fight will be 2 vs 2. I hope its Shelmet and Pignite. I don't want Minccino to overshadow Pignite. It was annoying when Barry spammed Empoleon.

1. Elesa doesn't look beautiful in any means and I rarely think a cartoon character looks beautiful. Elesa looks cool, but she does not look pretty.

2. Emolga, stop trying to look badgrass, it's not working.

3. Pikachu needs a swift kick in the rear.

Nah, joking about the last one. But seriously, I'm annoyed at people saying that Pikachu has no right to do this when I think it is fair in a way. Ash let Pikachu star in the don battle tournament and then Pikachu lost, Meowth joins the gang Pikachu didn't believe Meowth at first and it's looking likely that Meowth betrays them. Then, Ash goes into an electric gym battle where Pikachu is usually used and Pikachu is excluded? Pikachu deserves to be angry, maybe not angry enough to shock Ash.

Also, if Elesa having that Emolga out, is a part of the gym battle then it looks like Elesa has only one, which is good.

The Magnificent Gym Leader, Kamitsure appears. Kamitsure specialises in using the electric type.
BW49: Raimon Gym's Gym Leader is the favourite model, Kamitsure. Satoshi wants to battle, but Bel's father is in the Gym... With her father wanting to take her back home, Kamitsure proposes that she and Bel battle, and to take Bel back if she loses.
BW50: Satoshi is practicing tactics prior to his Gym Battle. In order to counter Kamitsure's electric-type Pokemon, he drops Pikachu from his team, and Pikachu becomes unhappy. And the Gym battle starts with Satoshi using Gamagaru.

BW50: Satoshi is practicing tactics prior to his Gym Battle. In order to counter her powerful Electric-typed Pokemon, he makes up a team which excludes Pikachu, and Pikachu who was ready to battle gets depressed. In the Gym Battle, Satoshi counters with Gamagaru, who Electric-typed techiques do not work upon.

BW50: Satoshi is practicing tactics to oppose Kamitsure's fearsome Electric-type Pokemon, and so makes up a team which doesn't include Pikachu who cannot deal much damage to Kamitsure's Pokemon. But, Pikachu who was ready to battle gets upset. And the battle starts.

Funny enough, you never see Elesa mentioning Volkner in the games even though she's supposed to be his fangirl. Thinkin' 'bout how Sinnoh is so far away, how would she know about him, anyways?

Well for one, doesn't it say that she is going for her 4th badge, secondly, we don't know how she won those badges and lastly, since Zebstrika is only listed and all of Bianca's Pokemon are listed, if she uses all of them in the battle, she'll lose. Why would Elesa allow a 1 on 3? Though, if Emolga has the same voice actor as Zebstrika, it could be a 2 on 2 or a 3 on 3(Assuming she has more than one in the anime).

With all my love for Oshawott, there is no reason for him to be here. He has been in 2 gym so far and he will probably star\take a place in the next one (ground type), so Roggenrola (who hasn't battled yet and needs it badly) should be used.
