BW064: Chargestone Cave!

I'm sorry but I cannot understand how someone would want Ash catch even more Pokémon despite the obvious and flawed shitty development his team has been getting so far. Adding up the fast pacing Unova's been getting along with that, I have no clue how Ash could benefit from getting a Joltik/Galvantula in any possible way. No more captures please, I just want his reserves to get more focus and some development. Maybe eventually a capture before the league but I do not want another capture.

It's a stupid idea.

Ugh, I know we're all entitled to our own opinions but it irritates the hell out of me that people want Ash's team development to get even worse than it already is. Maybe if writers handled Ash's team properly up to this point a capture would be possible - but at time like this - no way in hell. :/

tepig battling a klink in chargestone would be pretty awesome..he meets a trainer he has a kling and ash uses tepig..they both evolve battling each other...that'd be really cool

agreed with you, i do think scraggy will evolve soon after he learns his 4th move..he may even battle against the gym and the get grovyle treatment? or he might be saved for the 7th and 8th gym?

as for oshawott..ya he has had some episodes but him loosing to 2 fire types in a row is kinda...stupid and dumb if you ask me..so he needs to evolve or something

We have a title - just a title. How does that confirm the episode to be a filler? It informs us that Joltik and Galvantula will appear, and the group will travel through Chargestone Cave. I don't see how that immediately makes it a filler.

Hence my, "it's also possible something happens".

I think it's likely to be a filler. That's my opinion. You agree with me? I'm glad you do so. You don't agree with me? Suit yourself.

What would matter if it were a filler, anyway?

I dunno; another episode spent on anything else but the important stuff? But hey, if it's fun or interesting, I won't complain. I didn't say it would suck, I just said that I think it's going to be a filler episode. I'd still prefer if one of Ash's Pokémon learned a new move or evolved or developed in any way.

From the title? It "looks like another filler" purely from the title? Wow. That's talent.

And the recent BW episodes aren't helping my optimism either. :/

First off, Pepsi, I had no intention to bash you, or anything in the way. Just my blatant misreception of this title.

Pretty much everything I feel.

And seriously, wishing for new captures when the ones he has now are undeveloped isn't a good idea. We're close to the sixth gym and we have unevolved starters and undeveloped reserves (and somehow starters). If there's anything to wish here is at least an evolution or something of relevance happening to one of Ash's pokemon.

I'm not excited in the slightest about the episode. I hope we get new information that can explain more what will be occurring.

It's basically because I, for one, don't see how they can pick up anything with any pokemon any more. Most of Ash' pokemon has been taken to a standstill in development, without getting hardly anything at all.. I'll point this out down below..

It's obviously Oshawott.

Oshawott = More battles, less losses, more appearances, developed more.

Again, it'll probably be Oshawott over Tepig..

I disagree:
- Pikachu: Got one move, no development otherwise. He's still the same rat = No development.
- Tranquill: No development, not even the screentime to get anything!
- Oshawott: Got development in the most basic way: It's learned to open its eyes underwater/during Aqua Jet. No character growth whatsoever, in fact, Ash still lets it do exactly what it wants (being a Psyduck 2.0) = No development.
- Tepig: Had a good starting point for development, which recurred, but was eventually taken nowhere. I'm hoping for an evolution in the cave, as it counters many of the pokemon there, and that they touch upon this earlier set up. Otherwise, they wouldn't have developed him characterwise at all = No development..
- Snivy: Took up a female rivalry with Emolga, but this in itself isn't taken anywhere yet. So again, set up, but no development from this point A, to a clearly definable point B = No development.
- Scraggy: Has mellowed down a bit, so this could be seen as a development. Probably the most decent development any teammember has gotten thusfar.
- Swadloon: Hahahahahaha.. No..
- Palpitoad: Hahahahahaha.. No..
- Boldore: Hahahahahaha.. No..

So this is my argumented reasoning behind totally bashing Ash' team. And also the reasoning why, with a whole lot of them, they don't really have anything to go on. Exceptions being the starters and Scraggy.

- Oshawott can be developed to the point in which he only comes out of the pokeball when asked.
- Tepig can be developed from the point of where we see some growth from the 'depressions' he gets..
- Snivy's rivalry with Emolga can perhaps go somewhere.
- Scraggy can develop with Axew, but this is already being done quite fluently, which is good.

So all in all, I'm the most pleased with Scraggy, but utterly disappointed with the other teammembers..

Argh! Chargestone Cave already okay then I'm hoping for them to get lost somewhere deep within and The Professor Appears to help with Bianca as well. But until we get a summary there's not much I can say about this episode, other than "YAY, we finally know about another episode of Pokemon"

Finally an episode focusing on Galvantula and Joltik, and of course - the Chargestone cave. I thought we won't see it after we've seen it in a flashback.

For some reason, it reminds me a bit BW048 (the Cubchoo episode), in which a Pokemon that already debuted (Beartic & Galvantula & Joltik) appear in an episode along with his pre-evolved form.

I also hope that we will finally get to see Ferroseed or Klink. But probably, we will see Elektrik, since we know that Tynamo are in this cave, and Elektrik is set to appear in one of the next episodes.

I'm actually surprised that Ash and friends are going to arrive at Chargestone Cave so quickly after their adventure in Driftveil City. I thought we'd get at least five filler episodes before this one, but I guess it's neat that the writers are moving forward at a faster pace. I'm really not interested in Joltik nor Galvantula, but I'm sure that a certain fan will be very pleased. But I'm not looking forward to the capture speculation to be quite honest.

Shouldn't Mistralton Cave be nearer to Mistralton rather than Driftveil? Also, wouldn't there be a few fillers between Driftveil and Nimbasa rather than just three, two of which being the now required two-parters?

Congrats. That is by far the worst misspelling of any word I have ever seen.

At first I was happy we were getting an episode focusing on the spiders, but now I'm just sort of annoyed. I don't like hugely long gaps, but I hope that there are more episodes after Chargestone Cave, and we don't get another Nimbasa-Driftveil gap. I want starter evolutions dammit.

I recommend you to watch the Deino episode then, it appears in a flashback of Deino's trainer. Better than waiting till 12/1(i come from the UK can't be bothered doing it the american way)

I don't see Klink with Ash and I don't see Ash having 3 grass types (ferroseed) but thats just my opinion.
About Plasma: They need the desert episodes to introduce them unless they introduce them now and heavily re-edited the prosponed episodes.


So Joltik and Galvantula...lets see them do something else but battle. Unless a single/group of joltik/galvantula is/are injured and Clay intends to use the Revival Herb on the spider(s) to heal them but then the spiders try to defend themselves. Then the spiders eventually understand in the end it was for their own good blah de blah and the spiders get revived. Everyones happy and swadloon evolvesthen the spiders find a new home, clay clears entrance, the group enter into the electrical wonderland and to be continued...

Then hopefully the next episode can be about Klink and Prof. Juniper.

I'll love if the story goes along these lines but I see little chance of it happening.

Yeah, but just watch. Someone is going to claim that because Joltik and Galvantula are also Bug-types, someone like Iris should capture one since she doesn't have a Bug-type Pokemon yet. And if someone is really desperate, they'll say that Ash should get one since he has yet to capture an Electric-type Pokemon.
