Below are some artworks I've been doing for a fake TCG set that I'm doing with a friend. C+C please:

Dusclops original

Dusclops with SFX - final. SFX done in the GIMP.

Beedrill - yet to be coloured

So yeah. Any comments/criticisms?

 

[Who Said Pikachu?]

First off they're too small and you can't enlarge them which makes it harder to comment.

1. It looks a little messy from what I can see, doing the colours around the dusclops first and then the blue around them would of made the colours stand out better as long as you didn't go over them.

2. Who doesn't like burst effects? they're so pretty. Anyways, the colouring looks nice and effective, the dusclops looks good as well, same goes for above.

3. Not enough people draw Beedrill, poor bug. Anyways, he looks neat. Comments would be, his wings are a bit small and the one closest to us should be overlapping his body as apposed to behind it as it looks like all the wings are on one side which doesn't work. His head's a bit too long and the antennae are too short. Also the back part isn't a cone, it's more a circular shape with a cone on the end.

Anyways, well done over all and continue to draw more!

True. I better save a full-size copy next time. Stupid me...

I assume you're talking about the original. Yeah, I stuffed up. Well, after SFX all that stuff was gone anyway. >_<

Beedrill = one of the best-looking Pokémon around, IMO. =D

I wanted the wings smaller than they are on the real Beedrill, because I reckon that they are too big, and make him look like a messed up bee/butterfly chimera, but that's just me. Gotcha on the positioning though.

Yep, I'm still mastering the design. I'll take it into consideration when I redo him in colour.

Moonlight Castform - I love this guy!


Morning-Sun Castform - needs a bit of design work. The scan omitted some light clouds behind them, but meh.


Synthesis Castform - Yeah, bad name. Aside from that, I just need a little more care with Castform's face and 'hair'.

Fog-Spirit Castform. It pretends to be a ghost in fog, yada yada yada. It's bigger than the others 'cause I drew it double size, after it screwing up in my face yesterday at the other size.The right-hand one has its head chopped off because the scanner didn't pick up the trail from the front one.

Smog-Cloud Castform, obviously appears on smoggy days. (If that's a word.)


Thunder-Cloud Castform. Self explanatory.


The colours turned out badly 'cause my scanner doesn't pick up light shades, but hopefully you can imagine what would be there.

So... C+C, anyone?

Pixel art of Rubber Ducky, a Porygon2 doll. Yeah, the shading sucks. Any suggestions as to how I could improve?

Simple blur effect.

There's several 3D model-lattice things behind the main doll, if you can see.

Smog is a word. Portmanteu word, Smoke + Fog, most famously in London.
