If the Buizel and Aipom trade does actually happen, then Riolu and Gible for Ash is pretty obvious right????? Discuss.

I'd have to agree with you on that. I don't see how Ash would get a Gible, really. Dragons just really aren't his type. No, I'm not going into the "mold team" theory, I'm just saying he's (correct me if I'm wrong, please) never raised a Dragon type. For people that are slow, Charizard is part FLYING not Dragon, even though it can learn Dragon moves. It would be a challenge for him, but yeah. I just can't really see it going in with his team, even though I'd like him to get one. :/ At this point, I just really don't know what I would like him to have or not, though. I'm just taking it as it goes along.

Actualy, for some odd and new reason, i think Ash may get a gible, coz, what if his new rival or some 1 captures a totally uncomman type pokemon and trains it hard, which may motivate Ash to capture 1 and train it. Riolu,(i will say the same thing where ever anything about riolu is asked) lets just wait till the 3rd gym battle.

can u give an example cause i dont remember that ever happening and to the person that said the thing bout charizard i really dont understand why is isnt part dragon, charizard is a dragon who knows well anyway on topic i don't think if the buziel apiom trade happens that well hinder riolu or gible chance of being caught cause he is eventually gunna oak something
See I have seen a Gible/Gabite coming for a while, simply because it would cover just as many bases as a water type an would be fresh and original. Although a Garchomp would be good for Paul, it wouldn't be amazing, and there are other pokemon that suit him better, for example Magmortar.
To the above poster, Charizard is A dragon, not part dragon. Also, what do you want an example of? Ash being motivated to catch something in competition with a rival? Try Krabby.

Ash with Gible? I can see where you are coming from with Riolu, but Gible? Dragons aren't really Ash's type of pokemon. Paul I could see getting one. After seeing Cynthia's Garchomp beat the crap out of him, its in his character to seek it due to its strength. Charizard and Sceptile are enough to cover Ash's dragon needs.
^At above, Charizard is a LIZARD. A fire breathing LIZARD. And Ash caught Krabby before knowing that Gary already had one twice the size of the one he caught. That doesn't qualify as trying to compete.

Riolu is a possiblilty, though i'm really starting to hope no one gets it since people tend to go overboard when they claim who should get it.
Though Paul does have two dark types and a normal, prime fodder targets for a possible second fighter to go after, seeing as how the potential Infernape might be preoccupied with Torterra.
Gible is doubtful on all accounts, it's line is clearly the regional equivilent of the Dragonite/Tyranitar/Salamance lines, and is just not something I can see Ash or Paul having on thier teams because of said power, and don't give me "Well it can just stay a Gabite" excuse, if Ash ever does get a dragon type, much will be expected of it by the fandom and it would be sad to see a strong awsome pokemon get "held back" from reaching it's max potential just so Ash can use it's type.
Now don't get me wrong i'd like to see Ash get a dragon too someday, but I don't see it being stronger than Flygon's level at most.

Umm, no its not obvious. This theory makes no sence to me and if the trade happens or not it wont affect what he captures next. Let it be A suprize. Anyways I doubt Gible will even get close to happening.

Guys Guys.....I also think the theory is stupid....but look...the noobs said chimchar would go to ash will paul releasing it...it was the dumbest theory back then.....but the writers listened to them

Instead of just catching chimchar , the writers have come up with a plot that Ash obtaining chimchar in a Different way instead of just catching 1 whenever it sees and how sure are you that the writers listen to the noobs , , maybe its the writer plan all along that just that u dont know . From DP Episode 2 onwards , i knew that this monkey is not going to remain on Paul's team for long with that attitude it treated this monkey

Gible-Dragon type for Ash would be something new but I doubt he'll get it and even if he does Gible won't be a Garchomp by the end of Shinooh.It will probably in some filler later.

Meanwhile, Riolu is pretty much a lock for Ash at the moment. The people who want Dawn to get it mainly do so to make sure Ash doesn't get it, which is a daft reason.

Do you really think they'll hand Paul something that's as powerful as J's Salamance? I don't think so that's too much power for a rival to have(he's already powerful with his Torterra), heck Gary was a strong rival, but he didn't have an unbeatable elite 4 caliber pokemon on his team either.
No it does not, it does fit his style dynamic(speed and power) but even so nothing is absolute.
Quite frankley both sides need to stop and see if anyone gets it at all, there's a long gap between now and iron island (unless they want to alter things and have riley pop in earlier) and Ash and Dawn could fill thier slots up by then, though in Dawn's case she may not get anything else and one at the most.
