Just so you know, Protect+Detect isn't infinite protection-alternating between protect and detect is no different than repeatedly using protect. Detect still only has a 50% chance success rate if used after protect.

IMO, it would be completely useless. Though you'd tire them out somewhat, you'd have no time to attack.

Have any of you even tried protect and detect?! They do work in alternate patterns because they are different moves (also I tried it :D ) Any pokemon that can learn detect can probably learn protect with the TM. Let me guess you are trying and toxic then protect/detect?
