Well last night, I EV trained for the first time and decided to do it with my Timid Natured Mewtwo. First I stacked it up with 10 Calciums, then I gave it the Macho Brace and had it defeated 60 Spinda. Now I'm not sure how many EVs it has in Special Attack or how many EVs left it can obtain.

Someone posted a link of a thing that does it for you. I forget where but it might be on Serebii. Hold on I'll go check.

EDIT: Well, if you know the Pokemon you battled this could help. But I think Serebii also has a calculator thing that does it for you.

EDIT 2: Oh sorry, it's to calculate IVs. But if you still want to check it out go here .

Oh, thank you anyway.

10 Calciums+60 Spinada+Macho Brace=100+2(60)=100+120=220 EVs
Edit: You can get 35 more Special Attack EV's and 290 more total EVs/

Thank you for helping me.

But I have one concern, someone on GameFAQs told me that I should max Mewtwo's Special Attack EV's to 252 and not 255. Is he right?

should max to 252 since it is the highest number divisible by 4 and usually that extra amount can go into HP or the 3rd most important stat as you never know when that 1 HP can come handy.

It actually is best to stop at 252. Every 4 EVs equals 1 extra point in that stat at level 100, and if your number (255) is not divisible by 4, it will round down to the next multiple of 4 (252), making your 3 extra stat points a waste. If you are planning on 255 EVs in 2 stats, you'll get the same result by putting 252 EVs in each of those stats and then placing your extra 6 in another.

EDIT: Looks like Evan beat me to it. Oh well.

Ah okay, thanks. So I should defeat 16 more Spinda with the Macho Brace right?

Hmm, I think that I might have done something wrong here. I had Mewtwo with the Macho Brace defeat 16 more Spinda. Then I had given it 100 Carbos, had it defeat 60 Pokemon with the Macho Brace on that give off Speed EV's then 16 more. After that with the Macho Brace, I had it defeat 2 Whismur for HP. I went to the woman in Slateport to check if it needed anymore EV's and she said that it didn't and had given it the Effort Ribbon. Wouldn't I have had to defeat 1 more Whismur to get the Effort Ribbon? Did I just do something wrong here? Please someone help, thanks.

Try defeat 100 spindas, If your Pokemon wants to eat. Give to it 20 calcium(my evee take 21), and Macho Brace of course

you miscounted somewhere. fortunately, since you did Spd/SAtk first, the point you missed out on is going to be in HP. or maybe not. you could accidentally have gotten 254 EVs in one stat, 252 in another, and still be able to get the 4 in HP.
