im ev training my exeggcute in speed, but hes only getting like 1 speed point per level. like once he gained two. What im doing is using the exp share, which i thought still gave him evs, was i wrong in thinking this?

Let it hold macho brace (Doubles the EVs gained) and battle pokemon that give speed EVs. These are the pokemon that you should let your Exeggcute battle against: http://serebii.net/pokedex-rs/speed.shtml
An alternative way would be to let it hold EXP. share and you will be able to use other pokemon to battle those pokemon which give out speed EVs. Or you could give it lots of carbos which gives 10 EVs to speed.
