my friend alec can't trade from his emerald to sapphire and vice versa so we thought it was the cable so he bought another and it still didn't work do you guys know what is going on

we both have SPs but it says something like "unable to connect with your friend" I think that was it

Try this: Hold the 1P GBA (if it labels the players) to about head level. I know for my link, if you hold it too low, it won't see the link. I know it's kinda wired but try it

Same THing happens to me, i can trade between ruby and spahire fine, but emerald to saphire or ruby wont work.

Wierd, for me it works fine, and i got mine used!

Make sure its a GBA cable not a GB one. Connect the cable at the same time, and then press ready at the exact same time...That is what made mine work.

I think you have to beat the eilite4 on the Sapphire before you can trade to emerald because that's what i had to do on my ruby before i could trade with my emerald

Do you plug in the cables BEFORE you turn the game on?
