I am having a water team on emerald (btw, the other thread i did was locked), and i have some ideas:

Mantine
Slowbro
Swampert
Ludicolo
Milotic
Cloystre/Lapras/Walrein/Dewgong

I think this is quite good though i can't decide on the last one. Make any changes you feel are neccessary and help me movesets and such please.

Most of you will probably think i'm a cheater for this next comment but it is purely out of interest. If my team could have any moves, what would be the best in-game or competitive movesets for them? (Again, i am not a cheater and this is just to see what you think)

I was thinking for an in-game fake moveset:

Mantine

Surf
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Something

Slowbro

Surf
Psychic
Something
Something

Swampert

Earthquake
Drill Peck
Surf
Rock Slide

Ludicolo

Leaf Blade
Surf
Something
Something

Milotic

Surf
Iron Defense
Ice Beam
Something

Lapras

Surf
Ice Beam
Something
Something

Soz about somethings, i'm very vague. help me with any changes and fill in somethings. Can you also help out with proposed natures, even though these can't be real without cheats, which i don't use.

k, so you found me out, and i know 100% that every single pokemon game owner has considered cheating at some point. If you can tell me in whole hearted honesty that you haven't then there is obviously something wrong with you. And in answer to jpkmnl2006's question, it's alright having any move, but i need good combos, that's the trouble.

Well, thats ruined my cover for you...

I know KM3 in person, so I was supporing him, however obvious it was (and if Milotic got Iron Defense, then it would be far more popular).

And Mantine can somehow survive stabbed t-bolts, Gyrados can only survive non-stabbed ones, so mantine being 4x weak to electric is not life threatening (well, actually, it is, but...)

Shuckle Man, you now seem to be the only person who is posting on this now so here i some good fake movesets:

Milotic

-Surf
-Ice Punch
-Needle Arm
-Will-o-wisp/Mirror Coat

Mantine

-Surf
-Attract
-Teeter Dance
-Spore

OR

-Surf
-Ice Punch
-Leaf Blade
-Mirror Coat

Swampert

-Surf
-Earthquake
-Drill Peck
-Thunder Wave

Ludicolo

-Surf
-Leaf Blade
-Ice Punch
-Leech Seed

Slowbro

-Surf
-Psychic
-Flame Wheel
-Calm Mind

Lapras

-Surf
-Ice Punch
-Spark
-Recover

Now, Shuckle Man, as you know me, i like weird ways to work out powerful moves and such so don't ask about why i've chosen spark and such. In case you ask, the formula i used was:

((Power+%Effect)XAccuracyXPP)/100

If the accuracy is - then it's 120.

Uh, are you just putting random moves on your pokemon? Why does Milotic, Ludicolo, and Lapras have Ice Punch when Ice Beam is available? Why does Slowbro have Flame Wheel when Flamethrower/Fire Blast is available? Why does Lapras have Spark when Thunderbolt is available?

There is a reason people won't support these kinds of teams...and it is pretty obvious.

In reply to tazzler, in case your eyes have fallen out and you are unable to read the formula i have above printed, ask someone to read it to you. I thoroughly doubt this as you have been able to write your own message and are now reading mine. I use unique methods of comparing moves and pokemon, as my friend SHUCKLE MAN will bear testimony to, and what is the point of having two moves which do the same damage, it limits your options?
In answer to your specific auestions, ice punch has a more respectable pp than ice beam, and can therefore be utilized more on long routes, same as with flame wheel. Lapras has spark for the main fact it's slow, with spark i can paralyze the opponent fairly frequently, leaving me to freely attack. Now if you don't mind, i think you should try reading all the thread first, and if you did, try thinking before you type.
