The Pokemon anime seems to be something that is guarunteed to us just like the games and manga. Yet, with all of the constant criticism of it, I was wondering what would happen if low ratings and all that leads to a show getting cancelled happenned to pokemon and every generation doesn't start up with Ash Ketchum starting over? Any reactions, disappointment, or anything.

"constant criticism" doesn't really matter. Look at these forums. People complained about the grass changing in HGSS. I'm not kidding.

If "constant criticism" from Internet Fans, Pokemon never would've made it past Gen I.

While the show isn't doing red hot ratings in the US, it's still in the top 10 animes every week more often than not in Japan and the movies still are box office smashes. Cartoon Network's press releases seem to indicate that it's at least performing as expected in it's time slot.

Basically there's no point is discussing or speculating whether it's going to be canceled right because it's still doing relatively well. With any long series ofcourse rating will slowly decline, but let's talk about cancelation when doomsday is actually on the horizon.
