So I'm confused on why I need internet to play the game. I've searched online and it doesn't say you need internet, and when I open the game with a connection it says I'm in offline mode but whenever I boot it up offline is says "checking if the game can be played" and then says "unable to connect to the internet" so this is very confusing and frustrating given that I don't have access to internet all the time.

Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.
However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.
We always recommend using unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if possible. Make sure you are secure. -
