No, I see the main reason for the repeat ball is to catch the same pokemon with less effort (and less money spent) to find pokemon with better IV points.

But if its used to catch a legendary then I dont like using it, I like using the masterball and to soft reset until I get the right nature and Ivs.
Althought I dont use legendaries.
