Hey there anime fans! I think it's time i vocied my opinion about this i think that all the cardgame anime's like: Yu-Gi-Oh, Dule masters and can't think of anymore at the moment have gone bad and i was wondering is this just me or not i mean they were "cool" when they first came out but now i can't stand to watch them. So what do you lot think, Card anime's good or bad?

They're a good idea, it's a great marketing stratergy "Look, Yugi has one of these cards in his deck and he always wins, you need one too! Buy buy buy!" and occasionally duelists might see a good idea on there and it'll set off world wide trends. And what could possibly be a better idea than an anime you can go off and recreate yourself, ok so they're not the best genre in the world, but there's only so many times you can try kage bunshin no jutsu before you realise it just ain't gonna work, but with a card game kids can make decks like thier favourite characters and play the anime.

Personally I find them a bit samey, Yu Gi Oh at least, I haven't watched DM enough to know, but it always goes: good guy in a duel, good guy is getting beaten, good guy conveniently draws the one card they need at that exact moment and wins.

Exactly, their is an amazing feeling pulling out Elemental Hero NEOS and owning your opponent in real life.

Duel Masters, however, really fails in the game aspect. Have you ever watched an episode? You won't learn how the game works from there....

Duel Master wins simply for not taking itself seriously at all.

What I hate about Yu-Gi-Oh is that they try to implement dramatic elements into a show about cards.

I have to admit Yu-Gi-Oh is ok for an anime but Duel Masters just suck it's too childish if you know what i mean.

Yea but they make Duel Masters so it only would seem funny or good to 5 year olds where as Yu-Gi-Oh can be a bit better for the older kids from say 10-15.

The Japanese version, and the dub of GX have some more sophisticated references also (Schrodinger's Cat and the various R-Rated Movie Quotes).

"Darn! Who thought a child could win a children's card game!"

In my opinion, Yu-Gi-Oh! was better off when it wasn't a card game anime/manga. :\ But I guess I'll give Duel Monsters props for bringing in the existence of the Abridged Series.

Its strange how, in all these battling anime (Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Beyblade) the whole world they live in revolves around said battling. At least in Pokemon it makes sense as they are real monsters, but in others they're cards/spinning tops/tiddlywinks/whatever for ****s sake. They take it far too seriously.

"For some reason playing a card game has caused me to become severely injured!"
