OMG!1!! HoW CAN CARTooN NETWORK SHoW LAIVE ACTION!?!11one! ITZ CALLED "CarTOON NETWORK!"

And sometimes the History Channel shows documentaries about modern times. Is it that goddamn mindblowing that a channel airs programming that makes money? You all have Adult Swim and Toonami, anyway.

problem though.adult swim has their mind gutter trash and toonami only has one piece and dbz for our viewing pleasures.they need to put some of old shows back on toonami and adult swim needs to step their cartoon game up.

One Piece and DBZ are getting canned for some BAKUGAN BATTLEN' MONSTAHS and Blue Dragon. so now it's "Two Hours of Naruto and Some Other Random Anime Cash-ins, Lolz."

Nope. Next week is the last Funi episode before Bon Voyage becomes the new opening. As you may know, that also indicates a new season.

So after next saturday, we get two 4Kids reruns, and then both One Piece and DBZ get bumped for Bakugan Battle Brawlers and Blue Dragon.

However, Naruto keeps its hour-long slot. Yep.

BUT WHERE WILL I GET MY ONE PIECE FIX, NOW? ;_;

$50 DVD boxsets, starting in May. Also, chances are that this is temporary (at least for One Piece), as Cartoon Network orders episodes in sets instead of purchasing and playing them consecutively.

They should call it "pathetic live action and the occasinal cartoon network."
Pretty much. Not that I see a lot of CN (except Pkmn, and Adult Swim) I find live action shows more annoying than cartoons when I'm bored.

Its almost time
One Piece hasn't been cancelled, otherwise Funimation would have told the public. Its most likely taking a break so Funi can have the time to work on the DVDs.

Hm. Well, as long as they keep Pokemon and Naruto, I won't complain. Really though, live action is best left to broader networks. Is there any basic cable channel that sticks to an all-cartoon lineup?

Let's face it, Cartoon Network sucks these days. If I were them, I would rename it "Cable Network" (same initials, new name). I know it may not sound that much of a good channel name, but if they contenue to NOT show the old Pokemon episodes (pre-Advanced), Dexter's Laboratory, and all of the other classics, and even if they still don't deside to renew Futurerama's syndacation rights, I'm going to be so pisted off. I stopped watching CN since 2005 (full time anyways). I used to watch it all the time until like around late 2004 (shortly after the relaunch).

Plus, we still don't have Boomerang in our area (fuckin' Comcast!) Cable sucks these days! Beleve me, cable companies (including Comcast) would likely pull the plug and drop the channel for good if CN contenues to not behave.

Plus, alot of other existing theme-based cable channels are trying to mix the theme. Most of these channels are between 10-30 years old, and after awhile, that probly explains why they are showing "miss matched themed" shows. For example, has anyone seen Epic Conditions on The Weather Channel in the U.S.? The show talks about extreme sports, not weather!

Besides, cable rates are also rising, more and more Comcast buyout takeovers are happening, and cable channels are running out of good ideas to show programs. That's why brodcast is better, and it gets higher ratings, and it's all for free, and it's even portable too -- unlike cable!

Besides, nowadays, I only watch news and sports.

More good cartoons, no anime and live action shows and movies! Save it for the Disney Channel!

My God, there's so many things wrong with your post I can't even name them all. Spelling mistakes, logical fallacies, false assumptions... my goodness, how do you survive in the world?

Also, "Cable Network?" You really should go into the television industry with creativity like that. Should all of this happen before or after Nintendo pulls the plug on one of their top-grossing franchises because you feel it's getting stale?

If anything, its the actual cartoons that are killing the network. All the good ones come on when the kids are in school but the ones that suck dominate the after school schedule.

I really wish the network would change its name. The only reason people hate the live action decision is because of the channels name.

Intelligent comedy has been replaced with fart jokes and a monkey. Granted "Cow and Chicken" was one of the few cartoons that featured crude humor back during the glory days, but when have you ever seen a half hour of "Johnny Bravo"? How about "Ed, Edd, and Eddy"? Atleast they brought back "Courage the Cowardly Dog", the first few seasons were wonderful.

I can kind of relate this to a debate that was going on at a toy collecting forum that I frequent. A lot of arrogant people in the community hold that they're the ones that keep the companies afloat because they (claim that) spend over seven hundred, fifty dollars USD on toys and that can never hold a candle to the twenty dollars a child gets for his birthday. What they don't realize is that most children don't care about the quality of toys, they don't care about the sculpt, paint, or articulation as long as it's a character that they're familiar with, and there's a whole lot more children like that than the selfish, living-at-home-with-his-mother toy collector. These people drive me to drink, they really do, and it's why I don't openly say that I collect toys.. I've gotten to the point of damaging the packaging on rare figures that I already have (if it's a popular character, such as a villain that's shortpacked, THANK YOU MATTEL!) to make sure it ends up in the hands of a child instead of eBay.

The moral to my rambling is that despite us meaning well, the broadcasting officials won't listen to us because we aren't their target audience. Indiscriminate kids are the target because they know no better and can stand to watch such things without thinking twice. The doobie brothers who sit around and watch CN all day are still a small fraction of the total viewers..

I still believe mental defficiency plays a role. I don't get why this is an issue. You don't like what a child demographic channel is airing for ratings, don't watch it. If I made a thread complaining about History Channel airing documentaries about aliens, no one would give a f*ck.

The Network needs more toonami every day like they used to. It made first grade easy when I used to come home every day grab a lunchable and watch dbz and gundam.

I cant wait for the new ben 10 alien force! Yay!

That's it. Cartoon Network has died now. Wait till it turns into a hardcore porn channel. That'd be fun.
