Is there a way to erase a CD-R disk?

No. If it was a CD-RW maybe but you can't with R ones.

Actually you can try put a magnet on it but it could end up useless

Only CD-RWs can be erased and rewritten on.
If you want to get rid of the data, break it in half.

Goury: CDs work on pits an d bumps, magnets won't affect them.

Doesn't microwaving a CD make cool sparks or something?

Latios, if it's dangerous, why recommend it? It's easier to break a CD in half anyways.
