Celestic Town Shrine?

I always wondered what it was for, ad it looks exactly like the shrine in HGSS. So, does anyone know what it's for?

Just an old Japanese-style shrine to the gods of old. It doesn't mean anything, other than that Celestic Town is still very traditional.

i have long suspected celebi (same sprite as celebi one) but so far nothing.

I think it's just to serve the game's storyline, and to give some significance and hype to the legendary Pokemon

It's just there to fit with the town. There's nothing special about it, sadly. I thought they would release an item with an event to obtain celebi there but nope.

I never thoght about that shrine as any more than decoration. It would be interestin to have celebi appear...it makes sense...time traveller who cares for land (or space?) so she can be connected to the dragons of sinnoh.

Side note, in diamond I used to make my secret base right under the shrine

it's the same maybe because they didn't have the time to make another "shrine" for ilex forest...so they copied+pasted it to hg/ss. lol

I guess they needed to have something mysterious so that people would remember Celestic, apart from that cave, that is.

I think it;s just another house with a slightly different design and decoration to blend in with the town's scenery, nothing special :/

Probably just a decoration, but looks just like the shrine in Illex is excact to Celestic's.
I expect if you use Sweet Scent near the shrine Celebi will pop out.

If you want to see Celebi, go to what I think must be easier- Unown cave, and encounter Unown 100 times, then:: you will see Celebi

I want it to be speciall, but it just seems like it wasnt.
On another note, palkia pushed in celepi in it and threw it to jonto. Cynthias grandma didnt steal it from ilex forest.

I think it's there to make Celestic look timey. It would have been nice to have a reference to a legendary Pokemon like the way the Ilex Forest has for HGSS and the Abudant Shrine for Black/White.
