Changing Default Internet

Ooh, my first post in this section of the forums.

Anyway, prior to 10 months ago I was a frequent user of AOL. Until one day, it offered an update that will 'improve login connection', only for it to cause AOL to never run again. Instead of fixing the AOL problem, I decided to use Internet Explorer, and I've been using it ever since.

Now I've just downloaded MSN Messenger Plus, and I want to download some plugins. However, whenever I click the link to download plugins, AOL pops up by default. This happens quite often, but instead of weaseling my way around the ignoring of the AOL problem and find the plugin downloads anyway, I want to ask: is there anyway I can change my default internet browser from AOL to Internet Explorer?

I would just remove AOL from my computer, but I'm wondering if there's another way (and I also don't want to cluelessly lose my internets).

not sure about this one,but I think that in order to change it you need to do something, outside of IE,somewhere in some computer options

P.S:I really suggest Firefox,it is b far the most secure and convinient browser out there, give it a try,www.mozilla.com

I'm not wanting to get Firefox, I want to use IE.

And even if I do, I'll still need to know the answer to my original question.
