That's an interesting idea. I'd love to see an important character like a gym leader or elite four member turn rogue.

If that rumour (the one with the gym types, which seems credible) is true, then we'll definitely be seeing Fairy as the second gym (Lumiose City gym?). I was thinking it would be neat if we got an 'unofficial' Fairy Type Champion. You know how Alder was sort of like an unofficial Bug Type Champion, since he had 3 Bug Types on every single team he used (BW, B2W2, PWT), maybe we could get that with the Champion, but 3 Fairy types, and then 3 wildcards. That's the same formula that Lance, Iris and Steven all used with their teams as well, except they were explicitly stated as specialising in their respective types, which Alder wasn't. Caitlyn for Champion anyone?

I want the champion to look and act wise and respectable. I would also like no double typings on the team, so that their team can be as diverse as possible.

Well, nitpick, but Steven was never explicitly said to specialize in a specific type, although his entire team is Mineral Type based, so he really specializes in three types, but eh.

I liked didn't like Alder's "diversity" I'd rather have something like Cynthia or something as Champion, with real diversity in types.

The GL turned rogue seems like a throwback to Giovanni, so it could work, although I'm not a fan of the idea.

I guess you could argue that Steven is in the same boat as Alder then, being unofficial type specialists in a sense - or at least implying a distinct preference.

The guy I quoted mentioned an elite four member, sort of like what happened in the manga I guess. I just hope we get distinctive admins/commanders/whatevers in the evil team again. Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were awesome, imo. The Plasma Sages, on the other hand, were really underwhelming. Hopefully they just shake up the team structure again and give us something completely new.

As long as the character is interesting and there's enough diversity to make it challenging then I'm fine with doubling up on a few typings.

So what you mean is that the champion needs to be an adult? well the kids we play aren't adults either and they become champions.

Caitlyn is boring though, I hope she isn't a champion, I also don't like split gym leaders like Iris/Drayden even though I like both of them.

They didn't get much character development, true, but like all the examples you just gave, they actually felt like characters. Team Plasma had a some real jewels in N and Colress, but most of the 'important' members of that team were completely mundane with hardly any personality whatsoever. If we get another team like that it will just be completely exhausting. With characters like Mars, where there's room for them to be developed, it's just a lot more enjoyable.

And this is thinking way ahead, and may not be relevent at all, but if we got another pair of sequel games for XY then it would be really interesting to see how the 'admins' (or whatever they would be called) change in the time gap. Like if one became a gym leader or something.

I think she was 10, 12 as a champion.

Ofc so why should our 10y old be more respected that then other 10y ingame that isa prodigy also? exactly its irrelevant, its about skill.

News flash: Blue was hardly "wise and respectable" and you seem to have no problem with him. Seriously I though people were over this whole Iris thing months ago?

And about the champion, I hope the next champion is different from the previous ones.
Blue was arrogant and diverse.
Lance was strong-willed and used Dragon's only.
Steven was intellectual, strong, and used Steel and fossils.
Wallace kind of looked like a performer, had a bit of a steadfast nature and used Water types only.
Cynthia was kind, strong-willed, and diverse.
Alder was fun-loving, righteous, and diverse with a majority of bug types
Iris was creative (referring to her dress compared to Lance's), strong-willed and used Dragon's only.
All of these Champions tried to inspire the trainer in a way.
This generation should only have one Champion, and be sarcastic and rebellious, yet be mature and pugnacious. Should it be a younger male/female, or older male/female?

I like the look of all the 'rivals' and I'm glad we'll get to see the other protag as well. The only downside is that I'm worried they will get as annoying as Bianca/Cheren. Coz They literally stopped you on every other route or city and then spoon feed you loads of information so you know exactly what you have to do etc. It's cool that you can all go one your journey at the same time, but I dont want it to feel like you're just a crowd that goes everywhere together.

I'm interested in how the four rivals will work (counting yvonne or the guy who's name escapes me) I could see them all doing different things with their pokemon and having all different styles. I think Yvonne/the guy will be the only other person to get a starter pokemon and the others will probably just have one from the wild f they do actually have them.

I have a feeling not all of them will be trainers you battle. I mean that's rival overkill right there. You might battle some at certain spots and maybe after the game is over you can battle them in their resting locations like with Bianca, Barry, and Cheren, but I don't think we'll be fighting them all throughout the entire game. Still I like that this game has a large selection if friends. I'm in love with that table scene

So say you could pick The girl in pink and the guy with the vanillish shirt so they become your rivals and the others have to stay behind. I wouldn't mind picking which one I fight to be honest. Hopefully some new Pokemon careers open up and they try to pursue them. Now I'm hoping that happens just to make sidequest out of them. If Triple Battles are still around I could see possible Triple Battles between us, though we would need a sixth character. Maybe the professor will join on the fun XD

First off Ditto24 that would be awesome. Yeah i would love to see some more open up like pokemon beauty and massage (Npc's have had these skills .... why not us ahahahha) and there could be some more cool careers too ahahhahah
