I might train a charmander in sp attack and speed, maybe attack,to lv 50 who should I choose? I know Meleon is not as strong, but he doesnt have weakness as bad.

Snaggron

Comes to warn you...
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't fully evolve it...

Ok, would sunny day, dragon claw, overheat/blastburn, and earthquake/flamethrower be good for timid charizard/charmeleon?

Go with charizard. It is faster and has higher sp. atk. It also learns better moves.

Agree fully. Besides, wouldn't it be a hastle for you to constantly cancel evolvtion every time Charmeleon evolves after level 36?

Go with Charmeleon. Charizard's overused and once you evolve it, you can never ever ever evolve it back.... ever......ever.....ever

*smacks self in the forehead* No. A better moveset would be Flamethrower, Bite, Dragon Claw, and Aerial Ace.

Zinimi

Yes, I like Snubbull
My charizard has a moveset that works pretty well. If we replace Fly with a better move that's not just used for transportation...

Try Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower and Overheat. Works well for me.

And Charizard > Charmeleon.

His Charmeleon/Charizard is Timid, so I don't think Earthquake would really work.

. . .
Zinimi, having two attacking moves of the same type is bad.

Get Charizard if you want more power, but have more weaknesses. Charmeleon for less power less weaknesses.

As for a moveset, I would go with:

Flamethrower
Rock Slide
Earth Quake
Dragon Claw

I dunno about what the item would be...

I have charmanders of other natures, which nature is best? And why is sunnyday and overheat or blast burn a bad Idea? Sunny day makes over heat or blast burn( last ditch moves) 50% stronger and flamethrower and dragon claw would be my main attacks.

I have a calm Charmeleon, once I get it to evlove into a Charizard my final moves will be

TM Sunny Day (power up fire moves)
Flamethrower
Blast Burn
TM Dragon Claw

Anyways I dont know how much more power sunny day gives to your fire power, but if it is 50% more?? then my Flamethrower would do 142.5 attack and Blast Burn would do 225 attack ;006;

Best nature for a Special Zard, or the best nature for Zard in general?
EDIT: Also, megazero, flamethrower would have 213.75 power in the sun since theres also the STAB boost, and Blast Burn would have 337.5 power (also gaining STAB as well).

att power isn't always best, in the turn you waste to use s/day you could get wiped out, critical hit? hidden power? then you have to think of accuracy, blast burn isn't exacly 100% what if you take a turn up to use s/day then miss with blast burn? could be wiped out in those two hits. oh and btw i'd go with the charizard over charmeleon, don't understand why you'd ask that?

but it would also power up the already strong flame thrower, plus i always have dragon claw as backup

Gotta Fully evolve it! Move sets are so much better, and he can learn some flying moves as well that can come in handy sometimes.

No.
So because something's overused we shouldn't use it? Okay let's all start using Pupitar, Chansey, Shelgon, Metang, Dragonair and DAMN! Skarmory has no pre-evo. Guess we can't use Skarmory anymore:(
Let's not forget about Magikarp and Feebas. They make a good substitute for their overused evolutions:)
Because a Pokémon is overused, doesn't mean it shouldn't be used. You're basically suggesting something a worse option to the person. That's just flat-out stupid.
Sadly, Charmeleon won't be able to do much. Charizard will.
You can always hatch eggs for more Charmanders anyway.
Charizard's ground resistance makes up for it's few new weaknesses by the way. As do it's higher stats.
