Cheated pokemon?

Say I trade a pokemon from a friend and its a cheated pokemon from gameshark and he gives it to me and I trade that cheated pokemon between my diffrent games, will the cheated poke still be fake or become real or will he mess up my game/s?

I don't know what I should do because I need the pokemon (lugia)because I live to far away from any nintendo event :/

so, what I'm trying to say is should I spend $50 bucks on XD or get a cheated lugia? lugia is the ONLY poke I need from XD.

No it won't mess it up, but nintendo won't download any pokemon for you because it has been cheated

Just get XD. Getting a cheated Pokemon does have chances to screw up your game. It's better to just get XD and get the Lugia. And...most people get XD for the same reason you might get it...to just get Lugia.

look...cheating is not against the law when it comes to pokemon!!! if you want lugia ssoooooooooooooooooooo bad then we wont kill you for cheating! its an easy answer...dont spend 50$ when you can get it for free!!!

but what I was planning on was he traded lugia to me ruby because nothing is importent in that game and then I'll trade my lugia from ruby to emerald.

would he still be fake and mess up my game? and if I make a new game on ruby will my ruby still be corupted sp?

Ok, I'll go through this slowly.

If you have a cheated Pokemon, and you trade it to all your games, then all your games will be considered "tagged" with a cheated Pokemon.

Tagged is basically saying that your game is now cheated. Even though you never used a cheating device on it, that cheated Pokemon you put onto it has taken away its goodness.

As for restarting the game, I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's still considered a cheated cart.

Also, if you're thinking of playing in the JAA, Do Not Get The Cheated Lugia. If you do, you won't be able to play at all, because Nintendo has things that can check if your game/Pokemon has been cheated.

sooo.... will my games become well coruppeted if I trade him between them?

I don't know what I should do, the best way to do this is get a used game but then thats basically impossiable to get a used real pokemon game.

so I'm screwed? or I could just *wait* (hears screams in the background) for the price of XD to go down :/

If you trade the cheated Pokemon from game to game, all of those other games will be tagged as well. :\

So yeah, best bet is to just get XD whenever you feel like it for Lugia.

You can't change a real game into a fake game. lol All that happens to the game is that it's just considered cheated because of cheated Pokemon that are on it or have been on it.

Okay, let me put it this way:

If you don't plan on competing in Nintendo events, just go ahead and get it via cheats.

If you do plan on competing in a Nintendo event, spring for XD.

well can't you use a gameshark on a game and it will be corupped meaning there will be glitches?

thats what I mean, will that happen to my games?

Yes, it can happen. There's always a chance that a glitch can happen if some sort of cheat is put onto the game.

Yeah, look to see if there's something wrong with the game...

But as long as the device is used properly, you shouldn't have a problem.

You're saying is if you have cheated pokemon traded between R/S/E, then those games cannot be used in the tourney? If you said that games that have cheated pokemon gets "tagged". If you restart the game and it's still "tagged", does that mean that you have to buy new game if you really want to enter the tourney?
