I think that normal pokemon, you can obtain in the games should not be hacked in any way. However event pokemon is not just to go catch so i accept people using hacked event pokemon as long as they got legit stats/movesets.
I think that people should be able to make the teams they want to even if its not an event close to them.
But there is no excuse by hacking normal pokemon, don't do that!

hard work is way better. it makes everything more fun. for example like um better. also cloning isn't really hacking i dunno why every one says it is

In DP, it's a lot faster and easier to clone with an AR than the GTS. Obviously, that's hacking. 'Sides, manipulation of a glitch is still frowned upon by most people, regardless.

I much rather capturing Pokemon the normal way: throwing Pokeballs and catching them.

I find cheating devices unfair, lazy, and just plain stupid. If I want something like Shaymin or Arceus, I would just rely on patience.

Patience doesn't work if you have no access to Wi-Fi and no access to events.

I absolutely hate it when all these dumb kids brag about having all level 100s and all shinies and all those hard to get event Pokemon and full Pokedex and unlimited of all the items, etc. from using an Action Replay. Honestly, no real trainer could give a crap. It just makes us hate those cheaters even more. Cheating completely takes the piont and the fun out of the game.

I can sort of understand trading for a cheated event Pokemon (which I have never actually done) just for fun because in reality, your never going to actually go to one of those events. So you might as well get a fake one just for fun. But other than that small exception, I hate Action Replay and cheaters.

I honestly can't figgure out what you guys mean by "treating my Pokemon as individuals." What are you talking about? Pokemon is a little piece of plastic that you stick in your DS. The characters in the game are just software. They aren't actually real.

Oh, and Machiki, that's just kind of lame to say "Who could resist turning about 60 hours worth of training into 10 minutes?" Guess what, I could. And guess what else , I'm going to say it again: It takes all the fun out of the game to cheat!!!!!!!

In my opinion, hacking is for lazy people. Sure you may have good pokemon, but if you get those pokemon through hard work and not some cheap device, you feel better that you did it yourself.

I use Action Replay... Because

I want to win battles, but I don't want to sit through hours of boredom before it

The thing I get from people is that "Cheating takes all the fun out of Pokemon." If this was for completing the National Dex, I'd agree 110%. But seriously now, EV training, breeding and hatching fun? Not to me it isn't. Hard work always seems like the right thing to do, but I've found out most of the people that say that just WANT an Action Replay and don't want others to have it.

Who could resist turning about 60 hours worth of training into 10 minutes?
Every person I know who uses PokeSav does it LEGITLY so there isn't really anything unfair about it. Think of it, unless someone here thinks EV training is fun, cheating devices are better

TO those who say "Cheating takes the fun out of the game", let me say this:

Fun is subjective.

To me, "fun" in pokemon means battling. Not, spending 3 weeks breeding for the right Iv's/natures, not battling a million wild pokemon just to get pokerus, and definitely not catching pokemon in Emerald and giving them move tutor moves, and then importing them. So I use AR.

Remember, "fun" is subjective. One guy may think something is ultra super-fun, while another guy thinks it's boring as hell. Hey, Tons of people like FPS like Call of Duty 4 and Battlefield, but I think they are boring and difficult. People have different tastes, you cant just generalize something, like you're doing by saying Ar takes the fun out of the game.

Just my 2 cents.

Actually, I basically said what Machiki said but worded it a little differently.

Personally, when I go up against a Legendary, i usually use 999 master balls. Then, sell them to get enough Max Repels to run through the dungeon then catch the pokemon with a master ball. But other then that, if I want one particualr one and dont feel like going after it, ill just cheat to get it.
But thats all after i beat the game first.

Master Ball is just too common. I just use the 100% catch code and catch the pokemon with the balls that look good.

Also, I rather find it sweet that someone try to send a Arceus out against my Mewtwo. Teach them freaking Arceus lover who win in the end.

So in the end, I like to hack em. For the lulz!! ~Diz~

I agree with you. I have the most respect for people that do not hack. I don't hack my pokemon either even though i barely play anymore... Most of the hackers are kids that are n00bs or teenagers/older kids because they are just lazy.

For everyone in this thread saying "CHEATING IS BAD! DERS A HAX0R SHOOT EM!" or anything along those lines, I bet if I gave my Action Replay to them, they'd use it. Its all jealousy, seriously, I've seen it happen. Here's a true story:

I had a lot of friends who played Pokemon, like 20 or something. We were ALL against hacking because we thought its not right to play a game like it hasn't been programmed to.
Until one day, when I saw some Wifi Battles on YouTube. I WANTED TO DO THAT! But, I am not breeding perfect IVs or battling 252 Magikarps. So, without telling my friends I got an Action Replay and PokeSaved, thus started my hobby of online competitive battling.
So, once some of my HACKERZGO2HELL friends came over for a sleepover. They saw my Action Replay, I thought the initial reactions would be:

"Dude I don't believe this"
"I'm not your friend anymore. Goodnight"
"UR A HACKER!"
"Go to hell you lazy ***"

But what they said was:

"Oh man... I heard you can make Pokemons on the computer! Can I use it? Please!!"

And people over the internet have told similar stories. So before you say "Hacking is bad," why don't you watch some videos on Youtube and see what 20 dollars can really do, and seriously, you don't have to use it JUST for Pokemon, I used it for stuff like Contra 4, and many other hard video games on the DS.
