Oh wow, I haven't played a game of chess in years.

I remember I always played as White, as I always liked to make the first move, and I loved using the Spanish Opening technique - where you place the pawn two spaces in front of the King, giving way to your Bishop and Knight. Then, I would do that move where you switch the Rook and King around. Ah, good times.

I was always Black. I hate making choices of any kind, especially first moves, so yeah. Not to mention I could get a good view on their prowess by their demeanor, move, and expression.

^ Ah yes, I guess that's true. White tends to have an advantage because it does gets the first move, but Black can be a very powerful position to be at when it comes to defence.
