Children of Legend Redux
(Or Children of Legend II)
Rated R for Violence

All worlds need their legends, everyone needs something to believe in; no matter how factual that thing may be. Legends and fables are passed through all generations, from meager cave drawings of fantastical beasts, to the large temples where worship of these beasts took place. All legends have flaws and are often criticized by those around them in their small details, some legends are just much too far-fetched to actually believe. However, there is one legend that has never been questioned and that legend is about the great and powerful Pokemon, Arceus.

Arceus is known in legend to have created everything we now know today, all the Pokemon, our natural world, and even the other legends around himself. Arceus was known to create the entities of emotion which taught humanity how to feel, the guardians of time and space, the embodiments of the weather, and the lower gods of life and death. Arceus is the embodiment of all legends and the collective god and leader of the entire Pokemon universe.

The legends that were created by Arceus took to their duties, the weathered trio guarded the land, lakes, and skies; the emotion trio taught humans willpower, feelings, and knowledge, and Xerneas and Yveltal maintained their struggle in balancing life and death. Together all of the legends of our world formed a Counsel of Legends, as they called themselves, and vowed to protect the world that they had made, the world that was now heavily populated with humankind and pokemonkind alike. However, all was not well in the counsel. Xerneas had begun to worry that death would overtake the land, killing everything that she had worked so hard to maintain. However. Yveltal argued that things had to be this way, or the old would remain here forever and never leave anything for the young and fruitful generation. The other legends agreed and attempted to get Xerneas to see the light of their ideals but she refused, storming out of the counsel, never to be seen again. However before she left she uttered a very powerful prophecy for all of the counsel legends to hear, including Arceus himself.

“Eighteen children will be born on XX/XX/20XX, all by normal means, to normal homes. Each will be fueled by the power of an element, given life by the storm that rages inside them. Before their eighteenth birthday I will visit them, awakening that power that rests within; and they will make their way here to stop every single one of you in your tracks. These children will be strong, with Pokemon at their side and they will bring the end of this era, the end of the legends.”

After uttering these words Xerneas stole a glance at her sister legend, Yveltal, before storming away. The legends scoffed at Xerneas’ words, knowing full well that no such prophecy of that magnitude had existed before now, however Yveltal knew that change was coming and Yveltal had to find a way to act to stop this insanity. Yveltal pleaded to the other legends and implored them to seek out a child of the prophecy before Xerneas’ influence encompassed them, the legends were skeptical at first, but knew of Yveltal’s power to see destruction. Arceus granted a blessing to the eighteen children, giving them caretakers in the form of Pokemon that would aid them in their quest. However, Arceus made one fatal flaw and did not pre-warn the guardians about Xerneas, nor of Xerneas’ betrayal to the counsel. Arceus then chose eighteen of his most trusted legends to set out and guide the children in the fight against Xerneas, he just prayed that they found the children before she did.

------------

This RPG is a different take on one of my other RPGs of the past. In this form of the RPG you take the role of one of the prophesied children as you did before. However in this form of the RPG Xerneas will be the main antagonist, despite this the children we play have to idea that she is leading them astray and may choose to listen to her words. In short, when you encounter Xerneas near your character’s 18th birthday you have no reason not to trust her words.

This RPG also reintroduces the Guardians, as before your guardian must be a Pokemon of the type that you choose for your child and must be in its first stage at the start of the RPG (they will be evolving later). For instance if you were the child of grass a Treecko would be a possible choice for your partner.
*Guardians can also not repeat, meaning no two people can have the same guardian

Along with the guardians there are also the Mentors. Mentors are one of the eighteen legends that Arceus sent out to speak with the children. When your child encounters their mentor it is extremely likely that they will not fully trust them, as they will tell them that Xerneas isn’t who they think she is. Which contradicts everything that they have been told. There are some limitations of mentors, but overall I will give you the choice within reason. Your character’s mentor must be a legendary of their type (IE; Moltres, Ho-Oh, Entei, Victini, Heatran, or even Reshiram for a fire character), however Xerneas, Yveltal, and Arceus are not possible mentors. I’m also aware that not every type has a representative legendary (namely poison), because of this, people who pick those types do have free reign to pick their legend, however this must be kept within reason and you may not pick a legend that would cause someone else to not have a mentor.
*Hoopa and Volcanion are not included

When asking for a reserve please tell me what type you want, your guardian, as well as what mentor you will be taking

Monster Guy

Fairy type Trainer
Name: Andre Bellamy
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Hometown: Born in Lumoise City, Kalos. Moved to Virbank City, Unova

Type: Fairy
Powers:

Attract: Andre has the ability to charm and seduce others to get what he wants. People can resist Andre's charms if their will is strong enough. He can also use this ability to make people/Pokemon fall in love with himself or with others. Unlike the Pokemon attack this is based off of, it works regardless of gender (or lack thereof.) The effects eventually wear off on their own.

Sweet Kiss: By channelling his Fairy powers into a kiss, Andre can leave others in a giddy stupor. Victims are left feeling happy, but are disoriented and confused for a time.

Photokinesis: Andre has the power to control light to some extent. At present time, he can use this to replicate the move Dazzling Gleam, as well as illuminate a dark room. With more practice, he can learn to do other things with it.

Play Rough: A Physical attack where Andre emanates magical Fairy energy, and delivers a painful Fairy beatdown in a playful manner. It obscures the violence with cartoonish effects such as smoke, hearts, and stars. This is usually a last resort move, as Andre doesn't particularly like violence.

Appearance: Andre is a tall young man, standing at exactly six feet. Although he doesn't like to do so, he excersises a little bit so that he doesn't look like a fat slob, and is physically fit and toned as a result. He doesn't spend too much time in the sun, claiming it is bad for your skin, and so he has a fair complexion. He keeps his blond hair short, and neatly styled at all times. There is never a hair out of place. He has a round boyish face, a small nose, and large baby blue, almond shaped eyes, which he claims are his best feature. His mouth is usually in some kind of smile. Except for his hair and eyebrows, he has no hair on his upper body. He's also pierced his earlobes so he can wear earrings.

Andre is very much into fashion. He likes expensive designer clothing, and he usually dresses more formally than most people his age. Being famous, he has a certain reputation to uphold, so he makes sure to look his best wherever he goes. His fancy wardrobe mostly consists of button down dress shirts, vests, trousers, and dress shoes. He even wears a tie and blazer often. He always keeps his clothes neat and tidy. It is rare to see him in a simple T-shirt and jeans. His wardrobe contains a lot of different colors, but pink is by far his favorite. He will usually have at least one pink thing on him, if not more. His current outfit consists of a frilly pink dress shirt that fits him well. In place of a tie, he wears an elaborate necklace made from rubies. On top of that he wears a burgundy trenchcoat, with a pink rose pinned to the lapel. He also wears a pair of diamond cuff bracelets around both wrists, and a diamond ring on his right ring finger. On the bottom he wears burgundy trousers held up by a black leather belt with a gold buckle. His choice of footwear include a pair of black dress shoes with pink spats on them. He accesorizes this with his signature pink beret on his head, and a pair of diamond stud earrings decorating his ears. He carries around a pink heart shaped messenger bag that has a red ribbon tied into a bow attached to it, and he wears a pair of pink cat's-eye sunglasses, with diamond studded rims.

Andre has developed a taste for diamonds and gemstones. He will occasionally be seen wearing random pieces of jewelry every now and then, regardless of whether it was intended for a man or not. He enjoys experimenting with fashion, and likes trying out many different things including wearing women's clothing. He feels women get nicer clothes than men do, and it lets him get away with wearing more jewelry than a man can. He can pass for a convincing woman when he's all made up. He often wears lavender scented perfume.

preview2.png

Personality: First off, Andre has tastes that are usually considered femmine. His favorite color is pink, and a lot of his things are pink and have hearts on them. He likes fashion, and he has a taste for cute things, and he's not really emabrrased by it. He really doesn't understand why boys in this country have an issue with guys liking that kind of thing. He just guesses it's because they're insecure about their masculinity. Andre is very obsessed with beauty and looking good. As a movie star, he feels he has to maintain a certain image, and because people don't want to be friends with an ugly person. He always makes sure he is perfectly groomed before leaving the house, and as such it takes him a while to get ready in the morning. Because he puts so much effort into looking good, he hates getting dirty, as it ruins all the work he put in.

He really values his relationships. He goes to great lengths to make friends and fans everywhere he goes. He often attends parties to meet new people. Someone not wanting to be his friend upsets him, and he will try to make that person his friend whether they want to be or not. For the same reason, he also likes love and romance, and as such he comes across as a flirt. He openly hits on people (he's openly bisexual, so guys as well as girls) he considers to be attractive, though he is usually more polite about it then most guys, because he is genuinely looking for a relationship. He also likes pairing people up who he thinks would make a good couple, regardless of gender and orientation, and jokingly teasing the two involved.

He can be charming and manipulative when he wants to be. He uses his charm, charisma, and the occasional bribe to get what he wants from people. He knows just what to say to win people over, which sometimes helps him get his way in many situations. While he is polite and well-mannered, and typically acts friendly towards others, he treats people like objects to make himself feel better. He can be self-centered, and disregards how other people feel and what they need if it's not benefiting him somehow. It's not something he does consciously, it's just how he is. He was brought up believing that people's affections can be bought, and it's worked out for him so far.

Having become used to being given whatever he wants, Andre has been spoiled by wealth. He has an appreciation for the finer things in life. He wears expensive clothes, drives around in fancy cars, takes exotic vacations, and freely spends money like it grows on trees. He is very generous with his money, since he has so much of it, trading a a few dollars for something better is no problem. He's also found it much easier to woo people with money. He especially enjoys being famous, and being adored by many. He doesn't mind the the craziness that comes with being a cleberty either. Bad publicity is still publicity, as long as people are talking about you, then that's all that matters. Andre has always been accustomed to life on top. His worst fear is losing it all, whether that be ruining his movie career, or losing his hard earned friends.

He speaks with a noticeable Kalosian accent, and uses French words a lot. However, he can speak Englsh just fine.

History: Born in Lumoise City, Kalos, Andre's childhood is not what one would consider normal. His parents are both famous actors, and since his birth he's been in the lap of luxury. Due to his parents being famous actors, and therefore often busy, Andre rarely ever saw them. He was also homeschooled for a while, and was rarely able to leave the house. He felt lonely being in a big empty mansion with only caretakers that were too busy to keep the kid entertained. Andre's parents brought him expensive toys to make it up to him. For a while the shiny new toy would make him feel less lonely, but soon he would get bored of it, and the loneliness came back. He thought something better would solve the problem. When his parents announced a new trip, the young boy cried, and of course, his parents brought him a new, better, more expensive gift once they got back. The same thing happened, it would make him feel good for a while, but soon he'd get bored again. He would continue to ask and receive more and more expensive things throughout his childhood. It was great, and Andre grew accustomed to wealth and having anything he wanted on a whim. It was nice, but it still wasn't enough, the bad feelings still didn't go away.

Andre recieved his first Pokemon from his parents. An adorable Cleffa he named Jolie. He bonded with this Cleffa quickly. especially after he discovered that he could understand and converse with her. Jolie is the only gift his parents gave him that Andre hasn't grown tired of. She is the closest friend Andre has ever had, and ever since meeting her, he had decided that he would catch and train Fairy types exclusively.

At some point, his parents thought it was a good idea for him to start interacting with other kids, so they enrolled him in a private school. When Ande started going to school, and meeting other people his age, he got a lot of attention from them due to the fancy toys he had that they couldn't afford. At Recess, every kid wanted to play with him. Being with others made him feel just as good, if not better, than opening up a brand new toy. It was then he thought that if new toys won't help, then maybe people will. He made lots and lots of friends, and Andre was happy for a while. Soon his family had to move away, and Andre was transferred to a new school. Having lost all the friends he made, Andre was upset for a while, but he soon worked to make new friends in this new place, and he was happy again. Then his parents moved once more, and the cycle continued. He was never truly content though, because he always had to leave all his friends behind.

At the age of thirteen, Andre's family moved to Virbank City, to further their careers. There, his parents encouraged their son to follow in their footsteps, and become an Actor. They put him in acting classes, and used their connections to pull a few strings, and get him and his Cleffa a starring role in a major film. He didn't want to do this at first, but did it anyway to please his parents. While making the movie, he came to enjoy being on a movie set, and acting. When his first movie went to theaters, and became a box-office success, he enjoyed all the fame and attention it brought him. Or more specifically, he liked all the adoring fans. He also enjoyed the piles of money, expensive things, and all the glamour that being a movie star brings. He decided to pursue a film career, while also attending school when he wasn't filming. After doing that for a few years, he became as famous and successful as his parents. He is often chased by Papparazzi and crazed fans, and he is also often the subject of ridiculous rumors in gossip magazines. Usually, they involve him spending absurd amounts of money on something lavish, being seen at a party, or romance rumors with various other celeberties. (Not long after hitting puberty, he discovered how attractive people were, and the joys of love. Although he's never had a serious romantic relationship, much to his disappointment.) He doesn't mind all the craziness that much. As long as he has all his adoring fans, then all is well.

Andre has everything now, devoted fans, a luxurious life, and piles of money at his disposal. Despite this, he still isn't satisfied. He feels like something is missing, but he isn't sure what that is. A week before his eighteenth birthday, Andre had a strange dream. He was visited by the legendary Pokemon Xerneas. She told him that the world was slowly dying, and that she needed his help. Xerneas gave him a kiss on the forehead, and bestowed him the power of Fairies. Andre does not know what this means, but Jolie told him it was serious.

Guardian

Name: Jolie
Species: Cleffa
Gender: Female

cleffa.gif

Appearance: She wears a large red bow on top of her head, and a diamond studded collar around her neck. Occasionally, Andre will dress her up in clothes made for her. Otherwise, she looks like any other Cleffa.
Personality: She is very much like Andre in a number of ways. She has starred in several movies with her trainer, and is also a celebrity herself. She likes being the center of attention. When no one is paying attention to her, she will do something cute, to get noticed. In general, she likes to dress up, and she enjoys using her cute looks to get what she wants. Aside from that, she is a friendly and playful Pokemon, who really loves how much her trainer spoils her rotten. She flirts with male Pokemon often, and she also speaks with a Kalosian accent like Andre.

Mentor

Species: Diancie
Gender: Technically genderless, but uses male pronouns. (Because Xerneas uses female pronouns, and we need a male fairy. :p)

diancie.gif

Appearance: He wears a Diancite necklace around his neck
Personality: Diancie is a vain Pokemon with a taste for luxurious things. He is also very proud, and he refuses to accept anything less than the best. He appreciates beauty, and likes to create diamonds to fill the world with beauty. He moves gracefully, and has a very feminine demeanor about him. In spite of this, he still insists that he is very manly and doesn't mind demonstrating this fact in battle. He still takes his duties as a legendary very seriously.
Other: He can Mega Evolve, and employs many Carbinks to do his bidding.

Schade

Metallic Wonder
WIP going on. Haven't played as a female character since forever, so I am looking foreward to this!

Name: Rosalie Schade
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Hometown: Born in Lumiose City, Kalos. Raised in Resort Area, Sinnoh.

Type: Psychic
Powers:
- Psychic: Rosalie enters others heads to cause a strong migrene. After-effects may include headache.
- Telekinesis: She can move objects with her mind. The bigger the object, the more tired she gets. When using this move, her eyes glow light blue, and she is surrounded by a light blue aura.
- Teleport: She can teleport around freely. She cannot move over too great distances.
- Future Sight: She raises her hand into the air and a light blue ball of energy with light blue sparks of electricity surrounding it appears above her. Light blue light bolts then fire from the ball into the sky and disappear. After a while, light blue lightning bolts appear and shoot out of the sky, hitting her opponent.

Appearance: Rosalie is a young woman of pretty average height, with a slender, petite physique. She doesn't enjoy spending time in the sun, as her skin is very sensitive, and has pale, yet fair skin, making her look similar to a porcelain doll. Her thick, wavy vermillion hair reaches down to her waist, and she keeps her side bangs coiled into two thick curls, halving their lengths to just below her shoulders. Her hair frames her youthful face, and brings out the green in her gentle, yet emotionless eyes. She always has a somewhat dreamy look to her otherwise childish-looking face, and can be mistaken as goofy because of it.

For clothing, Rosalie prefers to dress elegant. Her closet is huge, and there is seemingly no end to her taste in old goth-styled clothing. Her usual attire consists of a black corset, with magenta-colored sneering on the back. Over it, she wears a dark blue, long-sleeved cropped jacket, showing off her figure, as well as her generous bust. The jacket is lined with light brown fur, and it is laced at the end of its sleeves in the same pattern as her stockings. She wears a frilly skirt that is just a little too short to be considered appropriate, in the same dark blue color as her jacket. She wears a pair of black boots, with skull-shaped buckles on their sides, as well as magenta frills at their tops. Her most noticeable physical trait is her trademark fishnet stockings with a rose pattern. For accessories, she wears a dark blue laced choker with a Crescent moon-accessory on it. Her peculiar taste in clothing isn't easily obtainable, so she spends a lot of time searching for it online, and in various boutiques located all around the regions. She also has a big scar located on her left forearm after being attacked by a Mightyena.

Personality: Rosalie has always been a quiet girl, mostly speaking only when spoken to. She has a generally calm and collected nature, and doesn't like being center of attention. She likes keeping to herself, and doesn't trust people that easily. She usually interacts with a slight sense of arrogance in her attitude towards others, and can be pretty selfish at times. Her demeanor is both dark and ominous and she doesn't seem to care about anything or anyone besides her father. Due to her cold nature, she has a difficulty in making friends, something she isn't bothered by, as she enjoys being in the company of only herself. She is not a woman that wears her feelings on her sleeves, and rarely exhibit emotion towards others.

Underneeth her cold exterior, Rosalie is a fairly shy person, and keeps her cold attitude as a barrier to keep others away from her. she doesn't trust easily, having seen the worst of humanity during her early life. Once you get under her skin, she is a warm person that cares deeply for those she feels deserve it.
She is an intelligent young woman, spending a lot of time in her fathers library, reading about a variety of topics, all from Pokemon 101 to books on the occult. She is also street-smart, and can argue her way out of most grim situations.

She also has somewhat of a short temper at times, and can easily get impatient if waiting for something she has been looking forward to. She isn't the violent type, but she has her way with words, knowing just how to use them to hurt others. Though often unintentionally, she is not above bullying others if they annoy her. She has gotten pampered with the years after being adopted, and tries to maintain her former self, though it is difficult at times. She can also be manipulative, using her beauty to get others to do what she wants. Though she dislikes doing this, she does it only to get back at someone, or even if she just gets bored.

History: Rosalie was born in the less generous part of Lumiose City to a single mother at her age of 18. Her father had never been in the picture, as he had darted after finding out her mother was pregnant. Her mother died of complications during labour, and she was born an orphan. Having nowhere to go, she lived on the streets, occasionally joining gangs for the safety in numbers. her earliest memories are of her stealing food from minor shops in order to feed herself, as well as remembering the company of the others of the Lumiose Gang. Her life was tough, and it didn't seem it would get any better.

One day when she was 8 years old, she was attacked in an alley by a wild Mightyena after it was going for her newly obtained food. She sustained a serious injury on her left forearm, causing her to pass out bleeding on the sidewalk of the city. A lot of people came to watch her, wondering what was going on with that filthy-looking girl. But only one man actually offered her help. This man took her to the hospital, where she was stitched back together. He also somehow felt protective for the girl, and decided to adopt her as his daughter, thereby giving her a new and better life off the streets. The man was a wealthy nobleman from Kalos, being the head of a major company with branches in every region. He lived alone, and hadn't wedded, as he didn't see it fit for his lifestyle, which made it odd that he had decided to adopt her. Naming the quiet girl Rosalie (As she didn't have a name prior to this), the two of them moved to the Resort Area in the sinnoh Region to live in one of his many grand mansions. She would eventually enroll at a luxurious private school, and show off her great intelligence. She got very good grades, and her options were broad and wide.

Rosalie, however, was constantly tormented by nightmares of her past. Often re-living the traumatic event that led to her injury, as well as other trivial things. She had problems opening up to other people, besides her father, who she felt she owed her life to. One night during her age of 11, she had a dream that was unlike anything she had had before. She was facing a certain Pokemon, who introduced itself as Espurr. The Pokemon spoke to her in big words about how she was chosen for... something. Rosalie didn't really bother with it at first. But after having had the same dream several times, and at one point waking up by levitating both herself and other objects in her bedroom with her, she started to suspect tis was the real thing (Her powers were bestowed upon her by Cresselia, btu she learns this later). In the dream, Espurr had told her about great powers and great responsibilities, ancient Pokemon feuds, and something about an old prophecy. It was all so odd and bizarre to Rosalie, who decided to continue on with her new life, eventually forgetting al about the dream.

Until one day, when she is gifted with a Pokemon by her father. An Espurr, given to her as a way of trying to get her to open herself up to someone. It was a startling feeling when the small Pokemon started talking to her in a slightly too manly and masculine tone, about the dreams she had several years prior.

Others:
- She dislikes being called "Rose"
- She is scared of Mightyenas.
- She is skilled at dancing.

Guardian
677.png

Name: N/A
Gender: Male
Species: Espurr

Appearance: He is holding a Soothe Bell
Personality: Espurr is a wise Pokemon that often talks in big words. He speaks in an oddly manly voice despite his size and petite physique. He's a strategist, often thinking far, far ahead before taking actions. Despite talking in big words, he doesn't always make sense, and he is well aware of that, jokingly excusing himself as if others doesn't understand his grand design. He can also be secretive, holding things from others while going into a somehow silent thinking-mode. He doesn't like to share his feelings, but he is a pretty decent Pokemon with nothing but good intentions

Mentor
488.png

Species: Cresselia
Gender: Female

Appearance: N/A
Personality: Cresselia is a fierce Pokemon with a strong sense of justice. While she is seemingly benevolent of nature, she is ruthless in her pursuit of her ultimate destiny, willing to take anything she needs, in order to fulfill it. Often speaking in a degrating matter to others, she is not above taunting others. She believes that her way is the only right one, despite her sometimes odd means of action. Despite her hard exteriors, her intentions are pure, and she is an excellent leader, caring about her followers. (In this case, Rosalie)

Can I reserve normal type please? I'm thinking regigigas mentor and glameow guardian?

Unless of course someone from the old one wants to come back reprise a character that was normal type. I've only just started roleplaying here so I never saw the original.

Nova is a pale woman with an hourglass figure that makes her look much older than she really is, giving her the appearance of a woman rather than an older teen. She’s slightly taller than an average woman of her age, standing around 5’8” and weighing around 145 pounds, making her a rather slender woman. Her skin, as stated before is ivory in colour and that is highly accented by her flaming red hair which reaches down to her mid-back, it’s wavy and is often seen in curls; she’ll occasionally sit on it when she sits down. Her eyes are a brilliantly coloured green and are usually surrounded by lovely winged eyeliner and elongated eyelashes that are blackened by mascara. Her hourglass figure is accented by her D cup breasts, which gives her feminine figure even more to view.

In the clothing department, Nova wears a white tanktop with a lacy top above her breasts and a form fitting fit. She wears a black biker jacket over this which could be classed as a mix between a hunting jacket and a thin jean jacket. Her legs are clothed in white skinny jeans with knee high black high-heeled boots which are always seen above her jeans.

Personality: Nova is very hotheaded. She’s easily snappy and will usually argue with you if you disagree with her opinion. She’s highly intelligent and will always fight to get last word, as she believes herself to be highly suited to be a leader. Due to her personality she can be considered highly intimidating and sometimes cold and uncaring, however she dislikes when people view her like this as she views herself as completely the opposite. Her overall attitude involves her acting as though she’s extremely tough and intimidating but not exactly believing it herself.

Other than her hotheadedness, she’s extremely caring and compassionate towards people younger than her and people she considers her friends. She takes a strong leadership stance to protect those around her as she has lost many people in the past and wants to protect as many people as she can. She has a strong resolve to fight and protect people that was passed down from the years of training that her family put her through. She is skilled in fencing due to her family’s training and knows how to drive a Yamada bike.

She’s not afraid to speak her mind and will congratulate her teammates on a job well done if she feels that they have succeeded, and as she meets the other legendary children she aids them in maintaining bonds with their Guardians as she and Nisroc have been together from years and fully co-exist together.

History: Nova was born to a wealthy and powerful family fully renowned throughout all of Johto and well known in the other regions. Her family is known as the Aalto Group and are an advocation group for the rights of Pokemon and the ideals that all humans and Pokemon should coexist and that Pokemon are our equals rather than just our pets. Due to her parents ideals and the fact that they did get a lot of slack and were sometimes attacked for their ideas about life, because of fear about their daughter’s safety they trained her in combat from a young age and she is skilled in fencing as well as hand to hand combat. They also gave her a protective guardian Houndour who they named Nisroc, meaning, literally, “Protector”.

Nisroc and Nova were raised together from the time they were three, as such they’ve developed an extremely close bond and Nova’s parents were never particularly surprised when they could hear their daughter speaking to the Houndour as they got older, they just assumed that the girl was like any other child and would talk to anything or anyone for companionship; however Nova found herself fully able to understand Nisroc and often found that Nisroc would answer any question she had as well as maintain conversations with the girl and keep her at ease.

As Nova got older, Nisroc began to tell her of the world and of all it’s great issues. He spoke of the legends of the counsel and all the stories that they had told him, he spoke of Arceus and the other legends, not mentioning each by name. After Nisroc told her these stories she went to sleep and was visited by a strange Pokemon of tremendous proportions, this Pokemon told her that she must reawaken the flame within herself and that she must return to the birthplace of all legends, the ruins in the town of Celestic in the Sinnoh region. There she will meet seventeen others who hold similar powers.

Quality Bonding
Name: Peony Gerbara
Gender: Female
Age: 18 years
Hometown: Pastoria City, Sinnoh; situated just by the marshy Rt. 212

Current Location: Nacrene City, Unova

Type: Grass

Powers:

- Flower Veil: A subconscious guard over close companions and surrounding flora. Softens blows dealt to either.

- Aromatherapy: A seeping scent emitted from Peony’s breath. Cures status ailments and wilted, malnourished flora.

- Sap Sipper: Full immunity to any spore or pollen-based attacks.

- Synthesis: Absorbs sunlight to heal either Peony or others. The latter saps Peony’s energy.

- Grassy Terrain: Transforms the area around Peony’s feet into a patch of overgrown grass, root and flower. Peony has full control over this newly-sprouted vegetation, although currently she is limited by such a cramped space.

Appearance: Peony is… curious. A head-turner, a stand-out among the Unova crowds, no doubt. With her oversized tees, flapping sandals and lifetime’s worth of carrying bags -- some even larger than she is -- the world must seem much bigger from her perspective. Like a Finneon thrust out of water, she seems lost and hopeless in this urban universe. But from the confident, innocent look in her amber eyes, this cannot be the case.

Peony is short in stature, chocolate-skinned and elfish. She looks like a marionette with polished beads for eyes and well-kept wood for arms and legs; certainly not an eighteen-year-old adolescent. Flat-chested, she is, with thin lips and spilling golden curls like puffed cotton. Peony is not dressy. She keeps her puffy, overbearing hair back with a green headwrap. Her wardrobe is mainly longer shirts, shorts of pant-like material and tunics. Her tiny earlobes are pierced with little brown beads filling the holes. A bracelet is usually wrapped around her thin wrists. Everything about her is youthful and fragile, but her eyes continue to deceive. They gleam with a sort of strength unlike any child’s, the real indicator of her age.

Personality: It is almost dazzling how innocent Peony is, how reluctant she is to partake in anything highly “adult”. She loathes swearing, alcohol, flirtatiousness and innuendo, yet never dwells, just quietly avoids it all. She is quiet about most everything, preferring to live a life of independence and near solitude. Loneliness is something Peony hardly suffers from, though unsociability is. There tends to be a solid amount of awkward silence and lack of explanation when conversations with Peony commence. A good speaker she is far from. Her habit of daydreaming and distractible nature make interaction even more difficult, but Peony doesn’t need to communicate to be thoughtful. At heart, she is intelligent, although she may at first appear a few brain cells short. Caring too, as well as free-spirited and kind-hearted. Peony never fully doubts or distrusts anyone, no matter how horrible they’ve been to her or others. She always reaches out to help, even if she can’t truly do any good-doing, and stays optimistic at all times. The circumstances have no effect on Peony. She will always be the gullible, generous little girl at heart.

History: Rt. 212 was never the greatest setting to live in. Rain was abundant and with that came flooding and an overall gloomier atmosphere. The Gerbera family hardly had a say in the matter, however. Their tiny, single-floor cottage was as elevated as it could be. If things became rough, they’d take their only daughter up to Veilstone to stay with her grandparents. Ol’ Mrs. Angea Gerbera was the head of their family, and the head of her own daughter’s life as it seemed. She’d always said how poorly built that cottage was and no, she did not care that it was their first house and that they were nostalgically bound to it. It was uncomfortable and a poor place to raise a child. They needed to move immediately into the actual city, where they wouldn’t have to fret over sandbags and leaving vulnerable objects on the floor.

Peony could not have disagreed more. She loved that old, ugly home as much as her parents: Heather and Klarke Gerbera. They were stingy, not poor as they might have seemed to their neighbors. Always withdrawing money, working overtime out of a sick paranoia. They wanted money, not to use but to possess, and Peony suffered unknowingly from it. She never had many friends growing up. A lack of social skills and a preference for spending time by herself did that. Perhaps it was also because she seemed so dingy, so elfish and so utterly bizarre, but Peony hardly remembers any extreme cases of bullying. Perhaps because she never heard any of her classmates accountable. They were good people at heart. There was little reason to doubt any of them. No, instead of making friends, Peony spent the majority of her childhood gardening. Her parents were hardly home; always out working, trying to earn money they didn’t need. While they were out, Peony would fill the houses with plants of all sorts. Potted ferns hanging from the ceiling, multi-colored flower beds, vegetable crops that were mostly for decoration… The house was always chockful of flower, and it attracted Pokemon of all shapes and sizes. Combee, Roselia, even Buizel… they all flocked to the floral attraction.

That was how Gladiolus entered her life. He was never called that before; just Carnivine suited him. The sweet scents of flowers galore guided him to Peony’s doorstep. She mistook him for a weed, at first, as he lay limp in the flowerbeds outside, basking in their wonderful smells. Frightened, he meekly said: “Please don’t hurt me!” and the rest was history. From when she was sixteen, Gladiolus was adopted into the Gerbera household. In-exchange for insects to eat, he would help Peony tend to the flowers, do any chores and tell her grand tales of legendaries, hinting at her own destiny, which Peony learned of later on. Much later, when she turned eighteen and finally left home. Deciding she was old enough, she packed her possessions as well as some money and left for Unova. Peony had always dreamed of living in Nacrene with its olden-style buildings and expansive forest nearby. She rented an apartment for her and Gladiolus that they’ve lived in for a few days so far. It is already lined with flowers. She was complimented on them by… someone. Not a human. Another Pokemon, one that could talk like Gladiolus. They emanated power and claimed to give her powers of her own. That excited Peony who found the dream remarkable. Odd how serious her Carnivine was taking it, however. Did they really have to leave Nacrene so soon? Sinnoh was cold and boring, and they hadn’t thoroughly explored every bit of Petalburg Forest yet! But if the dream really was something significant…

Appearance: He is of monstrous size, compared to the rest of his species: about eight feet tall instead of the typical four or five. Peony also crafted him a wreath of flowers to symbolize their friendship. It sits on top of his head, rather awkwardly as it is quite massive.

Very temperamental and is riled up quite easily. Uncompromising with nary a drop of affection or bias in her.
