Paul's treatment of his Pokemon throughout the DP saga should have gotten him in trouble with the law.

Most Pokemon are based on animals, right? And animal cruelty can get you in trouble with the law.

So, Paul is guilty of animal cruelty, or in this case, Pokemon cruelty.

I always questioned that tbh.

It's ridiculous. Cynthia literally watches him being abusive to Chimchar and is like "LOL, different training methods"

Yeah that is one of the most controversial things about DP

I don't mind Paul's training methods, like with Chimchar. I liked his personality as well. Its a breath of fresh air since mostly everyone excluding the evil regional teams are pretty nice, especially now post DP.

I'm thinking DP episodes featuring Paul should be rated TV-14 in the US because of simulated animal cruelty.

This would be one of the rare occasions where Paul decides to dodge. Whether if Paul caught that wild Drapion or another one somewhere else it's still impressive that he was able to train up another huge powerhouse in a small amount of time (Electivire/Ursaring/Drapion).
