I'm in a bit of a dillema. After getting close to beating the Elite, only to get defeated, I figured I should change a few things and give them that final push they need. The current team can be found at http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=117193. The only change is taht Absol's Strenth is replaced with Shadow Ball
The thing is, I'm not sure which path to take. They way I see it, I have three choices:
1.Breed the pokemon on my team for good IV's, Natures, and movesets.
Upside: I'll have all the same pokemon in my team (or their children, at least). Also, I can keep TM's that I want my pokemon to keep, or gain new moves that would be helpful. And since the entire pokemon world is open to me, I can easily EV train the pokemon.
Downside: Breeding for good stats is an inexact science. And since I don't have a Ditto or another game, I need to catch 3 females to get the same pokemon. And then there's daycare costs and the amount of time it takes to breed something good. Plus, I have no idea of their IV's, except for Sceptile.
2.Get new pokemon to replace the current ones.
Upside: I'll be training untrained pokemon, meaning I could develop them in any direction. Also, I still have a lot of the TM's, so movesets may not be too much of a problem. Plus, the ones i pick will most likely have better stats.
Downside: What makes me think I'll do better with these pokemon? There's also the time that it takes to train the pokemon, and no guarentees that they'll do any better. And on top of that, if they have bad natures or IV's, I'll probably end up right back where I started.
3.Rearrange the movesets.
Upside:I'll keep the same pokemon, and they'll be stronger for a later time. And like I said before, I have a lot of the TM's still, so it'll be easy. And there's still a few moves they can learn by leveling up.
Downside:This won't change bad stats or natures, and if that's the problem, all I'm doing is waisting my time. Three of them are females, and I'm reluctant to use one-time TM's on a female. And some of the moves require leveling up to really high levels, which will take a whole lot of time. After investing over 60 hours in the game, I want to get the Elite 4 beaten.
So you see, it's not an easy choice. I was woondering what you think of the choices I have.
