The Classic Era is a fan term referring to only Gens 1 and 2 based on the grounds that the Pokemon series was supposed to end with Johto. In Pokemon Adventures, there are no Pokemon antagonists as interconnected as the original three villains of the first three classic chapters of Pokemon Adventures.
We have seen these three antagonists nearly destroy each other with their awesome strength and also utilize that same awesome strength to work together when the situation demands it. They are so powerful that even literal god-like entities struggle against their might and intellect. That even someone like Red, the Pokemon Champion, or Mewtwo, created to be the most powerful Pokemon in the world, can't afford to make a single mistake against even one of these trainers alone.
I am of course referring to Giovanni, the main antagonist of RGB chapter, Lance, the main antagonist of Y chapter, and Pryce, the main antagonist of GSC chapter. These are not just some of the most powerful Pokemon antagonists of the entire Pokemon series but also easily some of the most powerful Pokemon trainers of the entire Pokemon series that make trainers like Champion Alain of the anime look like trainers that still have a very long way to go. With that being said, defeating these trainers is incredibly difficult but certainly not impossible.
What are some trainers you can see that can defeat all or at least one of the Classic Era Villains of Pokemon Adventures?
