You can't find a flawless in the wild by yourself
Yes, you can.
PRNG manipulation only allows you to do things you could normally do anyway.

Hey folks, Absolutely loving this thread, just like I enjoyed the thread in the Competitive 5th gen section a few months ago. I mostly lurk here, but this was just too good.
And as to the topic, Here on serebii as well as other forums, I have seen a lot of hate for Smogon and its users/tiers/mods/forums etc in general. Sometimes the poster tries to justify this with a "they do the same to us" comment, accusing smogon users of using the term "serebii noob".
I thought I would just add that for at least a year now (maybe more), AFAIK the smogon forum has had a policy of infractions for using that term. Do a search in their forums for "serebii noob" and you will receive a handful of returns, the majority of which are before 2010. The latest is only on the 6th feb, and as you can see, was shut down pretty fast.

There are more uses of the term "serebii noob" here on these forums, and on others than smogon's.
Most of the hate is made up from misconceptions, bad experiences with players using sets found on smogon, and just a little splash of wilfull ignorance. Not just on serebii, but more universally (well on pokemon sites anyway). This changes when experience is gained, and maturity is gained.
What are the odds? Moreso than finding a shiny Pokemon, which RNG can do too. It's not the fact you could do it, its that you can do it extremely fast, and consecutivly, which you alone can't do.
It doesn't hatch- I tried. and if you go into battle with it your game freezes. D: that was funny sending out an egg though. xDI've never heard of one either but if it's 'bad' then let it hatch and then release the pokemon via the PC .

What are you talking about? They've had effort points since before you were (probably) born. Your logic really astounds me. They ASSIGN pokemon in the game effort values and then YOU DEFEAT them to gain said points. The whole system was purposely put into the game to be used, which is why they have a CHECKER just for that. (And they have, since like, Hoenn.)
There is no way that you can prove EV'ing is cheating. While RNGing, on the other hand...
So don't try to "drag" EVing down by making it seem dirty when in reality you can't think of an excuse to prove that RNGing is cheating/not cheating.
If you ask me, Cheating is obviously forgivable because people in the competitive leagues allow RNGing, which is cheating whether you like it or not, as well as Cloning. You can't find a flawless in the wild by yourself, therefore, you manipulate the game with an outside mechanism (Timer/whatever) which then tells you when you'll find it. Abusive cheating at it's finest. Also, cloning is obvious. You do an in-game activation of a glitch that allows you to get a replica of the original Pokemon. Nah, you can't normally do that.
There really shouldn't be any argument here.. Some people hate Smogon, some people love it. It's not a big deal, and people shouldn't need a reason for liking it or disliking it. Personally I don't care about it either way.
