I am fine with the competition, but don't try to tell me my way of playing is noobish just because I like to use certain pokemon that is easily outclass by other.

Nobody has tried to do that besides one person, who was in fact trying to play competitive, while you fought them uncompetitively. As I said, its sort of like trying to enter a pro sport when you're an amateur; the people who actually play the sport professionally won't be impressed.

Edit: But then again, maybe I'm wrong. You don't dislike people who is hating on Smogon. You just like to troll on them. That would most likely be what you probably doing.

If you knew anything of randomspot, you'd know he wasn't a troll. Because he gets irked by you and responds less than "nicely" doesn't make him someone who likes to troll on your kind of people, and honestly, it irks a lot of other people too, like me.

I don't mind whether you play meta, casual, or don't battle other people at all, but there are very few people actually against you, at least until you try to take your casual play to their meta. Even then, most people will just win and move on.

And, umm... Star Wars doesn't have solid holograms.

I believe it could be possible to genetically engineer Pokemon-like beings as technology progresses, but some things are most likely impossible to achieve. Chances are, Pokemon won't even be around by the time we have that kind of technology, and we do something else with it.

I think he meant Star Trek and it's Holodeck technology. Imagine pokemon lasting for that many years, then transfering a pokemon from 3rd gen through all the following generations and into such a system. Make it so Nintendo!

Really, the two main sites can go hand-in-hand, as smogon provides competitive info on pokemon while serebii provides the rest of the info, like what moves the pokemon learn and where to obtain the pokemon. The forums are where the real differences start, however.

Honestly, I like smogon because it gives you a given set that worked for them and you can build off of it and modify to your hearts content to fit your play style.

many smogon users have had the same idea, honestly, it's just that many have given up due to the fact that the vast majority of the population of serebii are smogon-bashers who barely know what smogon even does. the above article is a good read and will hopefully explain that point.

as for smogonites joining the discussion, i myself am an avid member of that community and i believe some of the other users posting here may be.

Its really an unfair advantage. For someone that is doing there pokedex legit, a cheater will come up and say look at my pokedex, ive finished it unlike you =p. They have a tougher team with max stats, moves that are completly different for that pokemon type, infinite poke balls etc.

It takes skill to get as much of your pokedex done legit, takes no skill at all to play whilest cheating.

Im my opinion yes you are because it takes up your time, and someone that cheats can complete it in 5 mins... Legit people cannot do that within 5 mins of starting a game, if people know what i mean
