I'm so lost on the current convo that I'm going to just skip over it and state my opinion.
Use of internal methods like RNG (not really cheating, but whatever), cloning, etc. Not a big deal. I personally have that 'Spirit of Pokemon' bug, so I'm not entirely for it, but I mean. If you do it and we battle, I don't care.
Use of external methods like PokeSav, AR, Game Shark (do those even still exist?), etc? Well, depends. In-Game? Cheat to your hearts content. It's in-game. Do whatever floats your boat. Make your character walk on water if you like.
But if you're battling others? Well, I have two opinions.
a.) Non-competitive/casual. At LEAST let the other person know. And if you're using hacks like "ATTACK IS NOW 999!" and such, LET THEM KNOW. They're most likely expecting a clean, fair fight. That's the exact opposite, unless they're doing it too.
b.) Competitive.
You better not. That's really not fair. RNG is fine. IVs and EVs aren't even cheating. Having a better strategy is not cheating. Tiers are not cheating. They play fair, and so should you. Random Match-up, offering a battle with someone in the Competitive Section, etc. It's not cool. They expect a fair fight. Have some courtesy and just go somewhere casual where they
will accept your cheated Pokemon.
Those are my thoughts.
