Is this really true? Why the hell would you beat someone up, let alone a girl, over pokemon?

That because pokemon is serious business. But I'll be honest. I don't care if someone cheat in their game. If someone try to vs me with a Caterpie that is stat 999 in all area. It be funny if I fight it. But I prefer not to play that way.

Also, as for the guy beating up the girl thing. I bet he won't get a girlfriend anytime soon. Like forever.

There really shouldn't be any argument here.. Some people hate Smogon, some people love it. It's not a big deal, and people shouldn't need a reason for liking it or disliking it. Personally I don't care about it either way.
Anything and everything has reason so cram it and let the argument resume!

It is a huge deal and you need reasons for pretty much everything so your argument is invalid.

I shouldn't have to prove it, about RNGing. It's one of those topics that *points* most of you Pkmn gamers protect so that ya'll don't lose the privlage in competitive gaming. It's cheating. I don't need to say anything more because my example is perfectly legit. In otherwords, You say you can find a Flawless Shiny Zigzagoon, but you manipulate what time you find it, I suppose, and encounter it on the spot. In fact, you NEED to, because it's highly improbable that you'll find it alone.

But, anyways, on more important aspects of cheating, the biggest problem I hate is the Master Ball looking like a hacked item due to everyone cheating in order to get hundreds. I, once, wanted to catch Riolu in a Master Ball. I did, and when I trained it, then used it againt someone, people called it hacked/cheated due to the Master Ball. I hate that ._.

Wow? It is? I did not know that. Should all the Smogon hater ask permission to hate from anyone who believe hating is wrong?

No you don't need a reason to like/dislike something. I dislike bananas. Why? I dunno, I just never have.

Well... I recently had one. When I was battling an Audino with my Bagon, I accidently clicked 'last item used' which was a Great Ball. My pokemon was critical in HP so I thought I was done for...

No, it is not forgivable, so long as they are actually hacking it. RNG abuse does not actually interfere with the programming, it just takes advantage of it

So? It's not cheating, it's called being smart. You never manipulate the games data or change the game itself, so it's not cheating.

I used to cheat a lot, however as I got more into pokemon, I feel like it's wrong and that you should raise pokemon the old fashioned way, ESPECIALLY if you want a good experience with pokemon, raise them yourself, find them, breed them, all by yourself and the game's a lot more fun :D

No no. I love Smogon. I don't know what chu talking about. Smogon is my bible ya know. Everyone love Smogon. Smogon is great.
Sarcasm isn't going to get you anywhere.

Everyone should have a basic reason to dislike something. Using the banana example, you don't like the banana because you dislike the taste.
It is impossible for humans to dislike something without a reason. The left hemisphere of our brain is constantly associating things with other things and memories.

I am not being sarcastic. I really really like Smogon. I don't know why I like Smogon. I just do.

2011 article on Cheating within video games

Cheating within video games in general has always been difficult to describe. The definition is wide and varies depending on what video game genre are we talking. People also have different view on what counts as cheating and not so saying that's one thing is cheating may not be true towards everyone else. Anyway to those who argue that RNG is considered cheating, you seriously need to make sure that you accurately define what definition of cheating you're using/ you believe in within a given game (I.E do you consider the use any and/or all outside sources to be cheating?) and to not force your belief onto others.
