This episode was really good, I was surprised when Ash found Pryce's Piloswine because I never knew that would happen.

I really like this episode, since it is very sad.

I mean, how Pryce never got close to his pokemon again because he thought Piloswine left him, when really Piloswine was going to get some herbs that would cure Pryce's wounds and he got frozen:(. Well, I'm glad that it was a happy ending :).

I never thought in a million years that they would find it! It was one of the first Master Quest eps that I saw.

As a note of interest, I believe the guy who does Pryce's voice was Jimmy Zoppi, since his voice is like Nanba's, who in turn, sounds like Haga-sama from Yu-Gi-Oh, who is voiced by Jimmy Zoppi. And, if I'm not mistaken, the guy who did the voice of the guy with the Magmar was Eric Stuart, since Eric Stuart did the voice of Nathan (Fan-given name to the guy with the Thunderbolting Persian.) who sounded a HELL of a lot like this guy. (Who looked a hell of a lot like Gary from the back. o.o)

No the person who did Pryce's voice for the dub was infact Matt Mitler, which I thought was the case before checking it on TvTome.

This episode was brilliant, loved when Pryce met up with Piloswine, very touching moment, almost brought a tear to my ear *sob*. We more storylines involving gym leaders like this, builds up the match very well, which is what this episode did indeed do.

I too thought this episode was touching. Just seeing Pryce and Piloswine re-united after all of those years, made me tear up.

I just loved what James and Meowth said during this epi when Pryce called them idiots;
James: How many kinds are there?
Meowth: Besides, we're the smart kinds of idiots!

This was a good episode; it's great to see a gym leader that we truly get to know.

This was a pretty good episode. Pryce was pretty mean at the beginning of the episode, but at least he finally found his long-lost piloswine. I like that it's because of Team Rocket that they even got into the cavern and found him in the first place. :) I didn't like Pryce's voice, though, it was pretty annoying. It was better in "Rage of Innocence" when he was so cold and matter-of-fact, oddly enough. Sheila was definitely a terrific guest character, though. The part where she ran ten times as fast as the twerps (and Team Rocket) to get to Pryce was hilarious.

I’ve noticed a big discrepancy.
In the Japanese version, Pryce and Piloswine were battling a Magmar, and Pryce took part of a Fire Blast to protect Piloswine, and it left while he was recovering, to try to get him some herbs. When it didn’t return, he thought it abandoned him while he was hurt. When he finds it, he realizes it was just trying to help him and got frozen.
That is also what happened in the English version seen by Dogasu and I think by some of the posters in this thread, and what is reflected in the episode pictures.
But in the Serebii Episode Guide, the scenario is completely different. Instead of a Magmar, it’s a Houndoom. Pryce doesn’t get in the way and Piloswine is badly hurt. It leaves and Pryce thinks it’s angry. When he finds it, he realizes it just wanted to show its independence.
So what’s the deal? Are there two English versions? Maybe a straight translation, and an altered one because KidsWB! thought the original was too violent, with Pryce getting burned? Or did YoYo238 just make the whole thing up?

I saw the one with the Magmar, don't know about the other.

Anyway was just watching this episode and I noticed something, doesn't seem like anyone else. When Pryce and Ash entered the cave, and the scene right after the camera takes a shot of Ash's foot stepping on the ice, look closely behind them, you can see a brown figure with white tusks and a very hard to see pink nose. Yes, I believe that is a Piloswine (I can whip up a snapshot if you like).

At first I thought after they found Piloswine in the next cave entrance over, that maybe the opening he was standing at he was looking the other way and the entrance pointed out to where they walked but Piloswine was facing thier direction, so why is there a second frozen Piloswine?

Edit: Hmm, I just put it on my computer and it's not there, I must have thought I saw it, the snow or whatever didn't help which I probably thought was tusks, not sure about the nose thought.

This was so good!

I loved the entire backstory involving Pryce and Piloswine. It was really touching, without being cheesy, know what I mean?

I just... love it! :D Great episode. Not sure about that discrepancy. I'm not sure if I saw a Magmar or Houndoom in the episode (I'm recalling this episode from memory, leave me be), but to be honest, I don't care about what Pokemon burned Pryce. I'm just glad to see him back with his old friend ^_^

This episode at same time was sad and quite interesting. The whole backstory of Price and his Pilosvine was really touching and its really sad how for all this years Price was thinking that his pokemon abandoned him when he was just trying to help him(after his trainer get hit with attack protecting him) ending being frozen.
However im glad that after so much time he find his Pilosvine and the whole story received happy ending.

As for the battle with Ash against Price and Dewging at beginning, well what to say than Ash was still the same all being stubborn to listen to others doing mistakes.Honestly i think he deseved to lose this battle.

Good episode, but I prefer Pryce before they found his Piloswine it certainly would've made for a better storyline than the usual Ash makes friends with the resident gym leader of which ever town he's in, and certainly would make for an even better battle come next episode. Poor Phanpy getting one shotted by Dewgong's Ice Beam but that's what happens when you get over confident like Ash always seems to do.
