Colored Eggs?...

...In the anime when brock got his mudkip there was mudkip eggs and they were blue with little orange spots. and when ash found the togepi egg after his charmeleon evolved into charizard the egg was white with little red and blue spots on it (togepi's pretty much the same way know except for its head feet and hands are sticking out). but in s/g/c, r/s/c & fr/lg they were white. do u think that in d/p the eggs are gonna be colored depending what pokemon's inside of it. i know that it really doesnt matter but i think it would be cool if the eggs were colored.

No. Part of the fun of the an egg from someone is not knowing what will be insinde- for the first time only in RSE anyway. There's no need for diffrent coloured eggs at all. And another thing, the animie =/= the games.

yeah they will most likely be white or tan (or just a plain color) so then they won't spoil the surprise. Possibly, if you get to view Manaphi's egg in the game as a item (like how u can see how the fossil looks in FR/LG/E) then that will be the only colored one.

yeah but with the colour you can take guesses of what it will be

I, personally, love this idea. I hate plain, ugly eggs. Sparkle them up, have certain colours and designs for each Pokémon.

What I meanis that you'll know what it is before being given that games special egg. Of course you should know what the egg is going to hatch into if it's just one you've bred, but otherwise you don't. Also, coloured eggs would look ugly.

i think that it would kill the fun of it and be a tacky attempt at a ''improvement'' they should think of a better way to improve the game

I really think that this will happen in D/P. It's the same things with the Pokemon Icons; first you couldnt see which Pokemon is which if you only looked at the Icons(if they got a nickname) and now every pokemon has one. I think the same will happen with the eggs; every Pokemon species will have it's own egg.

i rekon they should colour the egg depending on what type the pokemon inside is eg. water=blue or fire=red

I think it would be cool, but what if you had an Eevee egg.. would it be plain brown?

I think the eggs should lose the speckles and become plain white. Adds more suspense for random eggs you know?
I never thought about that. It would make more sense...

If the eggs were plain white I would want to have the option of coloring them with the stylus as a way of marking them. I can never remember what pokemon are in which eggs just by marking them with a shape. Or I would want to have the option of temporarily naming the egg.

No. A principle which has been part of the games since the introduction of eggs is something I call egg enigma. You have no way of knowing what's inside an egg unless you're the one who bred it and kept track of it. This gives us the option of trading "mystery eggs" to our friends; eggs whose contents are unknown to them, so they're totally surprised when they hatch. They're like presents under gift wrap. It'd be a shame if they give eggs distinct art.

One thing I hope they do do is allow us to attach Mail to eggs as well as put pokes holding Mail into the PC. Think of it like sticky notes. We can attach notes to eggs telling us what's inside and if they happened to be part of special breed operations or something.

its a great idea because there is no surprise in them anyways. Except the Wynut egg you get in that hot spring place. You know what you put in the breeding center so its the female you put in. No surprise. I'd like colored eggs, I really would.

Well, no, to put it bluntly. The same egg thing keeps what is inside it a suprise, when you get it, especially when given to you or recieved in a trade. Why make over 400* un-useful sprites just for something that'll be around for a few thousand steps? :/
*As in all generation basics, babies and shinies put together.

Imo, colouring eggs would be a pointless addition to the game, ruining the surprise of what the poke would be(if you got the egg in a trade) and taking up unnecessary memory on the cart.
