Combusken Evs

My Combusken is currently level 23 and I was wondering what would be a good ev set, currently i have

55 speed
68 attack

And could someone explain the whole ev process. I didn't really understand the page on it.

For the standard set (Sky Uppercut/Swords Dance/Rock Slide/Fire attack), 252 Atk and 252 Speed EVs are fine.
