Communist Club

I was very generously given permission to start this club, but was told it would be watched carefully to make sure it dosen't get out of hand. This club is for people who are communist (like me) or are interested in communism to talk about it and stuff. Also, I will be having very little internet access so I won't be around much to help keep things in line.

Rules:
1) Obey all forum rules.
2) No flaming any type of government. If you don't like or agree with it, say so in an orderly manner.
3) If you see someone who is not being good and breaking rules, please don't reply telling them they broke the rule, just report the post to a mod.
4) No saying anything downsiding or dissing communism even if it is your own opinion.

That's all the rules for now, more will be added as needed. To start things out, the first topic is how would you run a country if you were the communist leader.

Myself, I'd make sure everyone got a fair share of everything and if anybody disagreed with me they get put in jail. To quote Mewtwo "Quit human, from now on I'm the one who makes the rules"

But thats agianst human rights and freedom of speech is something democrasies strive on. Dictatorships are frowned upon by most sociaties. thats why im anti comunist pro capitalist fredom of speech lover. As thats what im doing now

If communism has a good enough leader, it can be better than a capitolist country like the US. Just because Stalin made it so you don't have any free speach or anything like that dosen't mean you can't have it in a communist country.

Ug things have already started to out of hand. True Communism has proven not to work, the people in the government live in wealth while everyone else lives poorly. If you look at China, most of the people are poor, communism has been proven not to work.

I know and thats why most european countries are capitalist driven countries or at the least socialist. new labour not scotish llabour are a hybrid of core capitalist and socialist policies compined. Still hate them.

There are two problems with the communist system:
1. There's no way to encourage people to work hard if they still receive equal pay. With almost everyone riding the dole, the nation can't progress or sustain itself.
2. It's too fragile. Even if the first leader's good, who's to say that ALL his successors will be just as fair? All it takes is one greedy leader (who will appoint other greedy leaders who'll do the same, repeatedly) to spoil the entire system.

Communism may, in theory, be the best system, but it's one which is totally impossible to implement. Before you cite China (hardly a good example ), bear in mind that they're more of a hybrid system, with capitalist and democratic elements present.

I'm the leader of this club, this thread is NOT to dis communism but to embrace it. If you have nothing good so say about it don't say anything at all!

So I beat you on that point, I'm not dissing Communism, I'm just saying its downsides.

Well, I seem to be having trouble findind communists here. On the bright side I found someone at sciforums.com that has lived in a communist country and a democratic country, and he says communism is a better for of government. I plan on trying to make friends with this guy.

I believe that this is something where education might be the best solution. Many of the people here do not know what communism is so I'm going to consult my trusty webster's newworld dictionary.

Communism:any economic theory or system based on the ownership of all property by the community as a whole.

I am not against communism and believe that under the right leader it could work. There are in fact ways that it is better than democracy, and there are ways that democracy is better than it. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages. You guys shouldn't be so quick to side against it. In fact I'll join this club as an interested person. I will keep my mind open and would like to see some arguements for communism instead of just against it.

I am into politics so I might join and to say communism is a perfect form of government it's just since people are naturally greedy true communism has not yet been achieved.So you work the government and such you can just walk into a restaurant and say "I want food" and they will give it to you.

I believe there's an old saying that says, "If men were angels there would be no government." which if you think about it is true. The government only exists because people are greedy, in other words perfect communism will never come to pass, because,
1) people will never become pure enough for it to work
2) if they did we wouldn't need government anymore
as I said I'm not against communism, I'm simply stating the facts.

communism has never ever worked, and will never work because you can never trust someone as a complete leader of a country, power corrupts and that is to much power for one person. communism worldwide has killed over 10 million people. it just doesnt work.
