Personally one of my favorite sets is a Shift Gear mixed attacking set, which is surprisingly difficult to deal with and can easily clean many teams with some chip. One thing that should be noted is that even though Toxel's nature determines which form of Toxtricity it evolves into, nature mints allow you to freely change the effects of your nature, meaning that it's perfectly possible to effectively have a Timid or Modest Toxtricity-Amped for example.

Toxtricity-Amped @ Life Orb
Rash - Punk Rock
152 Attack, 252 Sp. Atk, 104 Speed
-Overdrive
-Boomburst
-Fire Punch
-Shift Gear

This set acts as a late-game cleaner, letting him smash through teams once bulky Grounds, Steels, and Fairies have been chipped a little bit. This is a pretty standard Shift Gear set, but the one thing that's a bit different is Fire Punch, which allows him to smash past what would otherwise be his number one counter; Ferrothorn. Shift Gear is primarily used for boosting his Speed but the Attack boost makes dealing with Ferrothorn much easier. The EVs let him outpace +Speed Zeraora after a Shift Gear, with the rest being pumped into Special Attack and Attack, giving him a reasonable chance to OHKO max/max Ferrothorn after rocks at +1, and OHKO nearly all other variants without any chip at +1. You could conceivably run Throat Spray instead of Life Orb but such a set would require much more chip on Ferrothorn to deal with it, and wouldn't allow you to use Overdrive or Boomburst until you're ready to attempt a sweep, otherwise you may waste your Throat Spray.

Edit: Updated EV spread to better suit this set and the current metagame.

The Amped Form can only have 1 +Sp.Atk nature naturally, which is Rash. The rest are Low Key Form only. The stat-neutral natures are split semi-evenly between the two Forms (semi b/c there are 5 of them).

GeeGee

Late to the party
Pros:
+Electric/Poison is a unique typing that hits a lot of pokemon effectively, especially Togekiss, who is arguably the most popular pokemon in the VGC format, as well as giving 8 resistances, with only 2 weaknesses
+114 special attack combined with punk rock gives the Tox some serious wallbreaking power
+Punk rock is a sick ability that gives a free life orb boost to sound based moves, while also halving the damage Toxtricity takes from opposing sound based moves
+Overdrive is a sound-based electric type spread move, hitting flying and water types like Gyarados and Togekiss while dodging lightning rod

Cons:
-Tox suffers from 4 moveslot syndrome, wanting to run both STABS as well as boomburst for raw damage output, leaving only one slot for protect or coverage
-98 attack is wasted since the ability and special attack stat define Tox as a special attacker
-75/70/70 bulk is very frail and even with 8 resistances, Tox is gonna take a lot of damage from any neutral or resisted hit
-75 speed is not that good, being outsped by its arch-enemy Excadrill, but if Dracovish can make it work than maybe Tox can too

Wall Breaker (VGC)
Nature: Timid
Ev's: 4Hp/252Spa/252Spe
Item: Life orb/Expert Belt/Focus Sash
Ability: Punk Rock
Moves: -Protect
-Overdrive
-Sludge bomb
-Boomburst/Hyper Voice

Tox has a dual stab combination that hits Togekiss very well, and also threatens Rotom-M, Grimsnarl, Corviknight, Milotic, Sylveon and Braviary. Punk rock makes the Tox a scary spread attacker with Overdrive and Boomburst, though keep in mind Boomburst will hit your ally if they aren't a Ghost type. Aegislash can make a good partner since it's the only pokemon immune to both Sludge wave and boomburst, but you will be doubling up on the ground weaknesses. Tox also needs any ground types like excadrill and mudsdale removed before it comes in, otherwise it cant spam overdrive and will be knocked out instantly. Partners like Gyarados or Rotom-M who can handle these ground types is a must, as well as a fire type like Arcanine to hit Ferrothorn, who otherwise ignores anything Tox tries to throw at it.

Partners:
Tox has both middling speed and defenses, so he definitely appreciates both screens and tailwind support. Tail wind setters like Whimsicott makes a good partner since it can also threaten ground types with grass type attacks. Dual screen setters like Grimmsnarl or Aurora Veil users like Vanilluxe can help Tox take hits just a little bit better. Arcanine and Incineroar with their combination of Intimidate/Snarl and fire typing to threaten Ferrothorn are also good partners.

Other options:
-Throat Spray boosts special attack after using a sound move, giving the choice specs boost without locking you into the move
-Choice scarf patches up Tox's speed tier, allowing a surprise revenge kill or 2 with his spread moves
-snarl gets the punk rock boost and softens opposing special attackers, but Arcanine does it better and tox is so frail that it can't afford to waste a turn softening targets instead of going straight for the knockout
-shift gear gives +2 speed, which can allow tox to sweep as long as key threats like ground types or faster mons like Dragapault are dealt with, but is only available to the Amped form of Toxtricity
-Belch is the only poison-type sound-based move, but requires Tox to eat a berry. This sounds difficult as it means Tox has to take a hit, SURVIVE, and then eat said berry. Fortunately, there are damage-reducing berries Tox can eat to trigger Belch, though only 2 weaknesses means you can only get hit by 2 attack types to trigger this, meaning usually both your item slot and a move slot will be going to waste
