If I could make a suggestion, on the week the Isle of Armor comes out, could you please have Slowbro as the Pokemon of the Week?

Keep in mind we may not get access to Galarian Slowbro's stats, abilities, and moveset completely by the time the release rolls around. That and historically Serebii doesn't take suggestions from users about which should be the next POTW given it is always chosen via RNG unless there is a Pokemon set to a holiday theme. There may be a good chance G. Slowbro to will be picked, but at the end of the day it's all Serebii's decision, and we as users must respect that.

Lucario, the breakout Pokémon from Generation IV. Lucario's popularity is insane being one of the highest in game, and Lucario partially lives up to the hype. While the loss of its utterly broken Mega Evolution is sad, Lucario is blessed with a wide movepool that many pokémon would kill to have, great offensive stats that make a myriad of sets possible, and a decent typing providing it 8 resists and an immunity mean that Lucario has a lot going for it. However, the hype is over-inflated -Lucario is often slower than it would like to be and with so many pokémon carrying Fire, Fighting and Ground moves for the other Steel threats, alongside Lucario's poor bulk means that it is very easy for Lucario to be downed without performing anything. Despite Lucario's Cons, it is a pokémon to be feared, for given a chance, it will rip a hole in your team.

A Dance on the Battlefield
Lucario
Ability
: Justified OR Inner Focus
Item: Life Orb/Lum Berry
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Earthquake/Extremespeed
-Meteor Mash/Crunch
Nature: Jolly (+SPE, -SATK)
EVs: 4 HP/252 ATK/252 SPE

Wallbreaker Lucario. Come in on a wall, Swords Dance up and crack them wide open. This moveset hits several popular walls hard, comfortably getting a 2HKO on all of them:

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Crunch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Corsola-Galar: 195-231 (60.1 - 71.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 538-634 (152.8 - 180.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 268-317 (88.1 - 104.2%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Bronzong: 324-382 (95.8 - 113%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 544-640 (125.3 - 147.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mantine: 203-240 (54.2 - 64.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Escavalier: 434-512 (126.1 - 148.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 416-494 (105.5 - 125.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Sadly it is not that easy -most of them have several tools to disrupt Lucario, hence why Lum Berry is an option, but be warned that the power drop from losing Life Orb is significant, often adding another hit on all of the targets. As for the ability, Justified allows Lucario to pivot into Dark moves to get an ATK boost, which is valuable for breaking through targets, while Inner Focus was buffed to ignore Intimidate, preventing your opponent from tanking Lucario's ATK. Close Combat hits most targets hard, with Earthquake, Meteor Mash and Crunch providing options for targets that Resist Fighting. Extremespeed gives Lucario an option against offensive teams, who are oftentimes too quick for Lucario to deal normally.

-Vacuum Wave

Wallbreaker Lucario -Special Edition. 2nd verse, same as the first. Special Lucario is almost a fearsome breaker as its physical counter part.

+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Corsola-Galar: 242-286 (74.6 - 88.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Aura Sphere vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Ferrothorn: 486-577 (138 - 163.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Psychic vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Toxapex: 317-374 (104.2 - 123%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bronzong: 296-351 (87.5 - 103.8%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 172 SpD Solid Rock Rhyperior: 640-755 (147.4 - 173.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 160+ SpD Mantine: 155-183 (41.4 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Escavalier: 356-421 (103.4 - 122.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Sylveon: 413-486 (104.8 - 123.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Lucario Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 239-282 (62.4 - 73.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

On the whole, Special Lucario tends to be the lesser compared to its Physical counterpart, owing to a poorer special movepool, Focus Blast being more unreliable than Close Combat (and Aura Sphere lacking the oomph needed in most circumstances). Life Orb can be comfortably run on this set -Burns don't bother this variant of Lucario. Steadfast is the only ability of choice here. Justified is worthless, and Inner Focus is worse than Steadfast when Intimidate isn't a factor. As for moves, Focus Blast/Aura Sphere for STAB, Dark Pulse, Flash Cannon and Psychic round out coverage options for fighting resistant threats. Vacuum Wave gives Lucario a rare Special priority move, giving it a tool against faster offensive teams.

Other Options
Work Up -Work Up is good for a mixed set as it allows Lucario to buff up both of its offenses, but the power drop from a focused set is significant.
Hi Jump Kick -A touch more unreliable for a bit more power vs Close Combat.
Steel Beam -While stronger and more reliable than Focus Blast, the 50% HP price tag prevents this from being a spammable option, on top of Steel's poorer coverage vs Fighting.

Me again, long time no see. Missed ya'll, and now to my first post in a long time.

RED LEADER, GOING IN
-Work Up
-Bullet Punch
-Vacuum Wave
-Extreme Speed/Anti-Psychic
Item Attached: Focus Sash/Lum Berry/Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus/Justified
EVs and Nature:
252 Atk / 252 SpAtk / 4 Speed
Hasty/Naive Nature

How many Pokemon can run a moveset consisting of a boosting move & 3 priority moves? How many of them have the raw stats to even consider such a gimmick? How many of them can run physical and special? MegaLucario could've pulled this off better, but the game is what the game is. Work Up is your boosting move, +1 to Atk & SpAtk will leave your opponent guessing as to how best to counter. Bullet Punch and Vacuum Wave are STAB and get priority. No worrying about speed tiers with them. Extreme Speed is also priority, and hits stuff that would feel safe taking Steel and Fighting attacks. Anti-Psychic means "counter Psychic Terrain." Shadow Ball/Claw or Crunch/Dark Pulse are my recommendations, but Lucario's got plenty of coverage options to choose from.
Focus Sash is preferred to guarantee two rounds of action (Take hit, live at 1HP, Boost, then hit before they take you down) out of Lucario. Lum Berry can be used if you find yourself getting countered by status instead of direct attacks more often. Life Orb is for more damage. If Lucario's going to be your Dynamax, try Weakness Policy. Abilities...Adaptability would be ideal, but since there's no MegaEvolution in Galar, anything except for Steadfast can work here. You're relying on priority to negate Speed altogether, but a Speed-boosting Nature is still recommended to patch your Speed; Lucario's gonna be 1-shot by anything Super Effective and moderately strong anyways, so pick your poison.

PROS:
~Unexpected. The Meta is pretty stale, with any experienced trainer knowing your entire strategy upon seeing the Team Preview. No one expects gimmicks, and as far as gimmicks go, this one is probably the best.
~Immune to Poison, Paralysis doesn't hurt as much because your attacks go first all the time, and Burn does not completely shut you down (if you run Shadow Ball or Dark Pulse as your Anti-Psychic, you can laugh at Burn).
~Togekiss can't flinch you to death.
~Nobody likes a boosted priority attack to the face.
~Completely ignore the Speed tier altogether.
~Late game cleaner, has potential for a reverse sweep.
~No accuracy gambles.

CONS:
~Shut down completely by Tapu Lele (when it comes back) and Tsareena unless you replace Extreme Speed with a coverage move just for them.
~Assassin, not brawler; bring it out too early, and you've got an expensive Sash-breaker. If you don't save this set for late game, when all your checks/counters are weakened & status'd, then you've wasted a team slot.
~Again, this is more gimmick than viable because of the low BP of your STABs; no other Pokemon has any chance of pulling this off, though, but I won't deny there are stronger movesets you can use.

TEAMMATES:
~Clefable can switch in on the Fighting types that Lucario hates, and Lucario can handle the Steel types Clefable hates. Toxapex is Toxapex, and hard-counters the Fire types Lucario fears, while Lucario can finish off everything Toxapex weakens. Torture is illegal, but if the rest of your team are Excadrill counters...
~Gyarados can punch holes in Lucario's checks, and Lucario can finish off whatever survives Gyarados' wrath.
~Alolan!Ninetales and Grimmsnarl can provide Screens (Aurora Veil and Prankster-Dual Screens, respectively), and check Fighting types that would OHKO Lucario while Lucario handles Steel types that threaten them.
~Galarian!Rapidash, Gardevoir, and Hatterene provide offensive synergy to Lucario's Steel & Fighting STABs, can check Gengar (and other Ghost/Poison types that laugh at this moveset), and like Clefable have good defensive type synergy.

OTHER OPTIONS:
~Poison Jab. Easy to forget, but hard-counters Tsareena and checks Tapu Lele, both of whom shut down this set.
~Dragon Pulse. Nobody remembers that Lucario can learn this move; strong, reliable, and the only Pokemon immune to it are weak to Lucario's Steel STAB.
