It's Alakazam!

There's not really so much to say about the Alakazam line. Its mostly done the same thing for 25 years. Hits hard or dies quick. Slap a life orb or a sash on it. Give it dazzling gleam or focus blast, Psychic or Psyshock and something else. Maybe nasty plot in singles.

Alakazam
Magic Guard
Focus Sash
Timid 252 Sp.A / 4 Sp.Def / 252 Speed
Psychic/Psyshock
Thunderbolt/Shadow Ball/Dazzling Gleam/Focus Blast
Thunderbolt/Shadow Ball/Dazzling Gleam/Focus Blast
Nasty Plot

There's also a neat option with encore and disable, but that's problematic against dynamaxes. And in doubles you can slap expanding force on it and deal massive damage in psychic terrain. So in VGC, Indeedee is a common partner. Counter with other terrains and sucker punch or dark scarf moves.

Do the exact same thing to Abra and Kadabra in their respective tiers. Abra has been the most prominent special sweeper in LC using mostly the same moveset since Gen I.

Why HP instead of Speed? It is tied for being the 16th fastest Pokémon in the game (counting ties as 1 spot), 11th if you exclude Legendary/Mythical Pokémon.

Normally I would list the coverage moves for a Pokémon. However, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast and Dazzling Gleam are its only good ones. You may want to run Dazzling Gleam over Focus Blast, due to the latter’s shaky accuracy.

Outside of Nasty Plot, the only other status moves worth running on Alakazam are Thunder Wave and Protect (for doubles). Alakazam is too frail to realistically run any other status moves.

This set is old, but gold
Alakazam
Magic Guard
Life orb
Timid/Modest
Evs: 252 Sp.A / 4 Sp.Def / 252 Speed

Psychic- most reliable stab
Shadow Ball- coverage against important ghost threats and other psychic types
Energy ball-excellent against bulky water types and hippowdon, you might even catch gastrodon/seismitoad/quagsire by surprise
Dazzling gleam- with HP (ice) gone, this will become even more relevant to deal with returning threats such as dragonite and garchomp. It also gives Alakazam coverage against dark types (and a x4 super effective hit againts hydreigon)

Timid nature if you want to outspeed several threats (such as hydreigon and urshifu single strike), modest if you are aiming at fire power.

Psychic can be replaced by expanding force just if you are playing in doubles with indeede support. Expanding force+psychic terrain+life orb= massive destruction
