Time for another Pokémon of the Week and now it's in November, we celebrate 1 year since Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon came out with coverage of its signature Pokémon

It's Necrozma, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma and their Ultra Burst form Ultra Necrozma in one article!

    Go nuts

This one is a big one, so feel free to write sets for all 4 forms of Necrozma :D. Treat Ultra Necrozma as a separate Pokemon, but take into account its base form prior Ultra Bursting!

I haven't gotten to experience the other forms yet (haven't finished Ultra Sun lol) but from what I've used with regular Necrozma, it can fare a bit at tanking while dishing out damage in return. I just wish it had Focus Blast in its movepool to compensate it. Did the USUM give it some new move tutors to help it out?

Ah Necrozma, in Sun and Moon, you were a random encounter in a remote patch of grass, that was often found by mistake. Then Ultra Sun and Moon came along and you turned out to be the shattered form of a light deity. Strange things that perspective does.

    Vantablack Armor
    Necrozma
    Ability: Prism Armor
    Item: Leftovers
    -Calm Mind
    -Stored Power
    -Substitute/Morning Light/Toxic
    -Substitute/Morning Light/Toxic
Nature: Calm (+SDEF, -ATK) or Bold (+DEF, -ATK)
    EVs: 252 HP/252 DEF/4 SDEF

Stored Power set. Put all your EVs into physical bulk, use Calm Mind to patch up your offense and special bulk and then lay waste with a Boosted Stored Power. Last moves are up to preference. Substitute works well with Leftovers, and helps protect against status as well as giving Necrozma more time to setup, while Morning Light is reliable recovery enable Necrozma to keep boosting despite repeated assaults. However, these two moves leaves you a stitting duck towards Dark types, so Toxic is the solution for them. Four Moveslot syndrome really hurts here.

    Wings of the Shattered Moon
    Necrozma -Dawn Wings
    Ability: Prism Armor
    Item: Colbur Berry/Kasib Berry
    -Moongeist Beam
    -Psyshock/Charge Beam
    -Trick Room
    -Stealth Rock
    Nature: Quiet (+SATK, -SPE)
    EVs: 252 HP/252 SPATK/4 DEF

Trick Room sweeper set. Dawn Wings Necrozma is one of the slowest pokémon officially rated for the Ubers tier, and thus is a possible abuser of Trick Room. Moongeist Beam is the STAB of choice, slaying the many Psychic types infesting the Uber tiers. Psyschock is a decent secondary STAB that strikes DEF, allowing DW Necrozma to bypass dedicated sponges, but Charge Beam is an alternative option that buff's up DW Necrozma's impressive SATK and strike the many fliers of Uber. Stealth Rock is a utility option that services DW Necrozma's team well.

Colbur Berry allows DW Necrozma to stomach a Dark STAB if it at full health:

    4 Atk Life Orb Dark Aura Yveltal Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Colbur Berry Prism Armor Necrozma-Dawn-Wings: 322-380 (80.9 - 95.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    252 SpA Life Orb Dark Aura Yveltal Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Colbur Berry Prism Armor Necrozma-Dawn-Wings: 277-328 (69.5 - 82.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

While Kasib Berry enables DW Necrozma to stomach a Ghost STAB:

    252+ SpA Griseous Orb Giratina-Origin Hex (65 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Kasib Berry Prism Armor Necrozma-Dawn-Wings: 163-193 (40.9 - 48.4%)
    252 SpA Gengar-Mega Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Kasib Berry Prism Armor Necrozma-Dawn-Wings: 195-231 (48.9 - 58%)
    252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Kasib Berry Prism Armor Necrozma-Dawn-Wings: 259-306 (65 - 76.8%)

I guess I'll add one then

Dusk Mane Necrozma @ Solganium Z
    Ability: Prism Armor
    Brave nature
    252 HP, 252 Attack, 4 Sp.Def
    - Trick Room
    - Sunsteel Strike
    - Photon Geyser
    - Morning Sun / Gravity / Swords Dance / coverage

At first glance Necrozma might seem too fast for Trick Room, but among legendaries it's one of the slowest. With Necrozma's excellent bulk, typing, and Prism Armor it can usually set up Trick Room quite reliably. Sunsteel Strike and Photon Geyser are STAB. The final move is a bit of a filler depending on your team. Gravity is a neat option if you're running this together with Primal Groudon, Groudon loves Gravity as its STAB combination becomes unresisted outside of Dewpider and Araquanid and Precipice Blades is extremely spammable under Gravity, nailing stuff like Mega Rayquaza and Ho-Oh with ease. Morning Sun is recovery, best used if you have sun support. Swords Dance if you want Necrozma to become a larger threat. A third coverage move is also possible depending on what you need. As for items, you can run many things. Solganium Z allows Necrozma to have a powerful nuke with Searing Sunraze Smash which also ignores abilities, but it can also run things like Figy Berry or Mental Herb.

Earthquake in the last slot with Groundium Z is a bit of an unconventional option, but it does destroy stuff like Incineroar, Metagross, and opposing Dusk Mane Necrozma, stuff that resists your STAB combination. Unfortunately it doesn't get Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake does hurt Necrozma's buddy. This is a bit less appealing if you're running it together with Groudon as Groudon covers your ground coverage needs.
