Is it strange that the anime's take on Buzzwole strangely reminds me of the collapsing Zombie Pokemon of Pokemon Adventures RGB?

Background Information - Buzzwole, Welcome to the world of Pokemon's mosquito's... OH GOD NO! WHAT IS THAT!?
So Buzzwole's Pokedex entry is interesting as it's muscles are essentially made up of the blood of it's prey that it's sucks through it's needle... and surprisingly... the anime here is the more accurate adaptation of Buzzwole which is... honestly kind of horrifying seeing that Snorlax deflate like a balloon. In the adventures manga, we also see Buzzwole go up against some of the future members of the Elite Four, able to stand it's ground quite well against their stacked power. As for Buzzwole itself, one of the manliest Pokemon who lives in the manliest worlds of all of Ultra Space, literally. He comes from a Jurassic-like world where the trees are flexing it's muscles.

Well-Known Trainers who caught or befriended Buzzwole
Ash Ketchum- Pokemon anime (released)
Lusamine - Pokemon Adventures (befriended)

Drain Machine
Buzzwole
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
Nature: Impish Nature (+Def, - Sp. Atk)
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Def
Drain Punch
Leech Life
Ice Punch/Poison Jab
Bulk Up/Roost/Power-Up Punch

With an Impish Nature, Beast Boost will boost Buzzwole's defenses. You also of course got Leftovers, Drain Punch, Leech Life, Ice Punch for recovery and counter options and of course Bulk Up if you want to set up your Pokemon's defenses more as this is Buzzwole's only defense-raising move.

Wandering Battler
Buzzwole, the Mighty Glacier to Pheromosa's Glass Cannon, the physical fighter to the frail fracturer. I suspect Buzzwole was the main reason they reworked Leech Life in Gen VII as how would one of their star Ultra Beasts have a 20 base power move as their Signature move? Buzzwole strengths are apparent, as Heracross has proven the strength of the Bug-Fighting type before, but it's paltry SDEF makes it quite frail on the special side, despite possessing several excellent physical resists in Fighting, Ground and Bug. However, being weak to the omnipresent Fairy Type as well as a 4x weakness to Flying moves means Buzzwole's defensive capabilities are often difficult to fulfill.

Multipumping
Buzzwole
Item: Assault Vest
-Drain Punch
-Ice Punch
-Fell Stinger/Earthquake/Thunder Punch/Iron Head
-Earthquake/Thunder Punch/Iron Head
EVs: 252 HP/144 DEF/108 SDEF
Nature: Careful (+SDEF, -SATK)

Because multitasking while bulking up is a fantastic idea.* Come on something Buzzwole can KO with Fell Stinger, boost up ATK and DEF thanks to that and Beast Boost and go to town. Or just boost up your defense by KOing an opponent and slowly grind your way through your opponents team. Drain Punch is necessary, being a fantastic stab with great recovery, while Ice Punch offers valuable coverage against the numerous Dragons and Grounds of OU. Last moves are up to preference and coverage needs. Earthquake can get the drop on Blacephalon, Magearna, Mega Mawile, Heatran and Toxapex. Thunder Punch deals well with Gyarados, and Tapu Fini. Iron Head harms Mimikyu, Mega Diancie and Clefable who otherwise resist Buzzwole's STABs.

*Disclaimer -no, no it isn't a good idea. Always pump weights with a spotter on hand to help you out.
