Gyarados can have Rain Dance, Waterfall, Thunder and, say, either Ice Beam or Earthquake?

That leaves Gyarados without the awesomeness of Dragon-Dance, but I guess I can give that to Dragonite.

Gyarados has horrible special attack. The only benefit it would get from Rain Dance would be a boost on STAB Waterfall.

No offense, but are you sure you're in the right forum? This is competitive, not in-game. Basic knowledge of stuff like base stats is required to be a competent competitive battler.

I finished EV training it last night, and i need a good idea for a moveset, and a good item idea, it is NOT for uber.

i agree about the rain dance part. But Spec's gyara can work, i've tried it before, just for fun and it got a few KO's out of suprise more than anything, and it's special move pool is pretty awesome.

252/252 EV spread for latias isn't great. but yeah for the moves you might wanna trick a Choice Specs set.

Draco Meteor hits anything really hard, even stuff that resists it. Thunderbolt hits bulky waters and provides decent coverage. Surf+Dragon is unresisted except for Empoleon and Shedinja. Trick is for crippling blissey/snorlax/tyranitar and the like, and Dragon pulse would be if your team can deal with blissey anyway and you are hoping to use latias as a sweeper.

Of course majorgambit will post soon saying you should Scarftias with ice beam, but just tell him to stfu.

that looks good, except, i cant teach it draco meteor on platinum., so what instead? and i have 6 sp.def points on it, just cuz of its base power. and it gained 29 sp.att points in one level. ill get the picture soon.

Ok well I was sitting around and thought of a new lead set for shiftry. Its kind of like a destroyer it either makes the pokemon set up rocks and die or beat me and not set up rocks (but only both on some occasion lol)

Ok first off I'll talk about the evs they let me outspeed bulky gyara by 1 point meaning I can fake out dark pulse and exlpode for the kill or if dark pulse gets a flinch I can dark pulse again then Leaf Storm for the kill . I couldn't really think of anything else I may need to outspeed so I didn't think anymore evs were needed. The evs for spa and atk were just to give it some power.
Next I'll talk about the moves Fake Out is for breaking sashes. Leaf Strom is just a strong STAB attack that does a good amount of damage. Dark Pulse is another good STAB. Explosion is the icing of this set so to speak not many people think that shiftry can explode hell I didn't even know until I saw it on smogon.

This thing can beat azelf leads 1 on 1 100% of the time and if they SR the first turn they he stay at full health. If they attack the first turn they die, due to fake out breaking the sash, and I live with one hp.
Swampert is scared off.
Aerodactyl is forced to put up SR and die or kill me and not get up SR.
Bulky gyara can be dealt with by Leaf Storm and Explosion.
Hippowdon can be dealt with.

Although this set can be quite good at times it fails hard at others. Tran leads are a big problem. jirachi can U-turn to a priorty user. Metagross can get rocks up and beat me. Pretty much this set has a hard time with steels

Considering King's Rock is a Hax item and Dragon Rush has abismal accurcy i'd say not too good over all.

Thunder Wave does look nice though, no one would see it coming off of Dragonite.

I can def. get at least one if not two nasty plots off then i can air slash pokemon to death and with my evs i get optimal hp recovery and outspeed adamant Tyranitar by 1 point then can ohko it with air slash

Where this moveset came from, I have no idea. But this is a shiny gallade, and while the EV's arn't the best, i think it needs a better moveset. Unless this one is good. I dunno help pl0x

I'd throw Swords Dance over Leaf Blade, if I were you.

Also, Life Orb is probably your best choice here for an item.
