• Hi all
    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
    Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Blue Ace

Pokemon is Dead
I need help with this moveset.

Infernape@??
Hasty
-Overheat
-Close Combat
-Shadow claw
-U-turn/Earthquake

Can't decide the item. I also can't decide between U-turn and Earthquake either.

Naive nature, so priority moves wont hurt as much, U-turn and Shadow Claw are fairly redundant

EQ is a bad move to have on fighting types in general since fighting+rock combo suffices for them

as for the item Life Orb or even Choice Band are viable

acerunner

King of Bugs
Celebi
Bold - Leftovers

-Baton Pass
-Gras Knot

Calm Mind baton Passer with Leech Seed based recovery... ?

Mudkip anyone?
152 HP, 252 Atk, 104 Spd (assuming 31 IV)

^ Standard Agiligross spread

Though to be honest I wouldnt recommend using it, its far too easily walled by just about every bulky water out there. Consider a Choice Band, ResTalk or even a Scarf Variant instead

ok, well ive been using a metagross with these moves ...
meteor mash
zen headbutt
bullet punch
eartquake

i find this works really well, so should i just stick with this moveset???item is life orb

Consider replacing Zen Headbutt with something else. You already have Meteor Mash for STAB and Psychic is a poor type in terms of coverage. Perhaps Agility (improving your sweeping capabilities), Thunderpunch (deals with Gyarados/Skarmory to an extent. Only if you play ShoddyBattle, hack or your Meta is still on Emerald Version) or Explosion.

Ezra

Mudkip anyone?
i dont play shoddy and apparently aligross is walled easily. i was thinking maybe rock slide for gyarados and levitators? i may be able to get explosion though, a friend has ar, so maybe mmash, earthquake, bullet punch and explosion /rock slide?

Does Meta learn Stone Edge? Probably. I can't remember ATM. If so, that's a better option. You get far more power for 5% less accuracy. Otherwise just go with Explode. Guarenteed to hit anything that isn't immune for massive damage.

Annhialator Zero

killkillkillkillkill
You have surf on there so if anything go with a mix attacker or you could have Avalanche, base 90 power after STAB and since Cloyster has horrible speed it wont hurt.

Because being able to kill Yache Chomp AND hit through Substitutes is useless right?

Ezra

Mudkip anyone?
nah it doesnt learn stone edge. so ill see if i can get an exposion from my mate. life orb ok?

Ezra

Mudkip anyone?
generally my old gross would go out first, but that was packing 252 ev's in defence. i imagine this one is still going out first, but its designed to break the intimidate ect and if necessary take a hit before giving one back. i find life orb works well, as i use gross as more of an attacker than a wall. i have umbreon and rhyperior for walling etc, so itll be a physical attacker. ev's....252 attack obv, adamant nature.
rest in what? def, speed or hp?

I find Recover a better form of recovery than Leech Seed because you don't lose it everytime your opponent switches out.

Forretress
Relaxed - Leftovers
252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spe
-Toxic Spikes
-Stealth Rock
-Rapid Spin
-Explosion

Set up Stealth and TSpikes 1-3 times switch out spin if needed, Then Boom!

Frost Nova

The predator awaits.
Forry is usually too valuable on a team to just go boom.

Spikes / Gyro Ball / Rapid Spin / Earthquake or Toxic Spikes work fine. Alternatively Zap Cannon can go over Gyro Ball to counter Gyarados.

Another Forry. xD
I need comments and advice.

Forretress@Leftovers
252 HP/252 Def/ 6Atk.
Nature will depend as it's a shiny. I want to use it for a few competitive battles though.

-Spikes
-Earthquake
-Gyro Ball
-Explosion

To be used as a physical wall/Spiker. I'd lay down spikes to start, then either switch out, EQ or Gyro ball.When Forry's about to faint, instead of simply letting it, I'll make it explode. ^^ The extra damage could be useful.

I'd also like to know which Pineco I should use...
I have 3 shiny ones and I was wondering which one I should train.
Their natures are all different, and since there is a huge gap between their IVs, I wanted to pick one by the stats.
Here are their base stats at level 100:
Pineco #1
HP=213
ATK=147
DEF=213
SP.ATK=79
SP.DEF=75
SPEED=52

Pineco #2
HP=225
ATK=159
DEF=203
SP.ATK=115
SP.DEF=89
SPEED=47

Pineco #3
HP=231
ATK=143
DEF=192
SP.ATK=82
SP.DEF=101
SPEED=45

So either Toxic Spikes or Stealth Rock?
If so what should i choose?

so adorable...
Toxic Spikes. More or less everything gets Stealth Rock.

shinygroudon232

I plead the 5th!!
Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EV's: 124 HP/124 Sp.Att/252 Speed
Modest Nature (+Sp.Att, -Att)

- Hypnosis

- Dark Pulse / Shadow Ball

I have no clue. I just started building competitive teams, and I find this Spiritomb to be fun to use.
