Maybe I need to switch out Swampert for something more physical?

Hera weak. Yes he has sala but he won't be taking constant damage from hera all the time, especially if its CBed/uses rock slide. Sala doesn't like that.

Gengar can't exactly stop it as a CB rock slide is a 2HKO iirc. Doesn't exactly like HP ghosts either, if hera is equipped with that.

Lack of special resist is evident, and also, a lack of physical resist. Swampert won't enjoy switching into physical attacks all the time.

Swampert is 'physical' enough. I suggest you give it Earthquake/Curse/Rest/Hydrop Pump. Ice Beam > Hydro Pump is the standard, but I like the latter because it can at least take out a chunk of Skarm's HP before it gets switched out. And Brave > Quiet for me. If you want more phyiscial pokemon, just turn Elemence into a CBmence, as you've already got special attackers like Starmie and Sceptile.

Perishtrapper Gengar is pretty risky if you ask me... but I guess it can be fun if it occasionally works.

And since you don't have another rapid spinner, you could give Starmie Rapid Spin > Surf, as you don't want to be completely vulnerable against spikes.

Get Blissey/Snorlax/Regice for the last pokemon. But Snorlax owns the other two IMO.

Last member = switch out Swampert or Starmie or even Gengar.

I'm thinking of a tank of some sort. Torkoal w/ Curse, Amnesia, Body Slam, Heat Wave? I think Snorlax tanks and Spikes Skarmory are overdone.

Put in Earthquake in the blank spot.

Metagross @ ?
Neutral/Adamant
-Meteor Mash
-Hyper Beam

Take out Hyper Beam for....anything really. Hyper Beam isn't really reliable.

Salamence@Shell Bell
Quiet
-Crunch
-Flamethrower/FBlast
-Dragon Claw
-Brick Break?
Flamethrower over Fire Blast. I prefer Dragonbreath over Dragon Claw.

Swampert? @ ?
Neutral
-EQ
-Surf
-Blizzard/Ice Beam
Ice Beam over Blizzard. Put in Rest if it can learn it. Put a Sea Incense on it since it will get the boost from the STAB effect and the Incense.

Gengar @ ?
Modest, Calm
-Mean Look
-Perish Song
-Destiny Bond
-Shadow Ball
Psychic over Perish Song.

Starmie? @ ?
Timid
-Cosmic Power
-Recover
-TBolt/Thunder?
-Hydro Pump/Psychic?
Thunderbolt over Thunder. Psychic over Hydro Pump.

That's my two cents.

Now I think I know what I want: A water tank of some kind (perhaps a Lapras, Walrein, Tentacruel, Poliwrath, you get the idea) and one more annoyance/status inducer that isn't Skarmory. Any ideas?

Tentacruel/Poliwrath and Walrein aren´t exactly good defensive waters. If you want to go with true bulky waters, then use Swampert/Milotic/suicune

Also, annoyers fall at competitive battling. Read the sticky and you´ll know why

Mioltic/suicune do better than pert though imo.

I´ll have to disagree on that

Swampert is, in my opinion, the best bulky water out there. Despite not having recover (or sometimes rest), it can attack better than the others. Milotic and Suicune go on a stall war that lasts forever against special walls, while pert can curse up and EQ them to hell. Milotic and Suicune can be flinched hax to death by Tyranitar, while Swampert has rock resistance and sandstorm inmunity.

Swampert is imo, the only reason why Zapdos/other electrics use Hp grass. Heck, even Celebi can´t be used to counter Pert with the introduction of HP bug, and other waters can´t switch in forever to STAB EQs from Swampert. ludicolo doesn´t exist practically, and gyarados is almost gone with Zapdos/Skarmory being highly OU

I find Swampert to be more versatile than the other 2, having a better type combination, and the sandstorm inmunity

I disagree. It's so difficult to get in a few curses on pert and then rest. Especially when it rests, it is still vulenerable to strong special sweepers and anything carrying HP grass/a grass move. I like milo's trait and instant recover whilst suicune can survive both physical blows and special blows (including even STABbed thunderbolts) with a few calm minds up when resting.

Milotic and Suicune can be flinched hax to death by Tyranitar
That's like saying, they can get CHed by any strong physical attacker and die. Flinch hax is all luck and doesn't determine how good a pogey facing the haxer pokemon is.

What i meant about flinchhax is that Milo and cune are both 3HKOd (or so) by Tyranitar, and none of them have leftovers. Surf doesn´t OHKO DDtar, which means that if they flinch once, they´re screwed.

Milo´s trait is great, i admit it, but it´s owned awfully by CMers. Suicune is just a stalling machine. Once it rests, you have to breing a physical hitter and it´s gone

i prefer Swampert. It counters more stuff than the other 2. Cursing isn´t that hard with it. It can even beat last pokemon Curselax if it catches on resting, and then pairs up with curse

Btw, this is just my point of view. I´ve used the 3 of them and reached the conclusion that Swampért is the best water out there

Relying on hax to kill them nonetheless ;/

Well usually physical sweepers have to hit it 3 times for the KO. So if you were to rest, they switch to a physical sweeper, then you get hit, get hit once more, then wake up and hit them hard or rest again for some quality pressure action :)

Likewise and I have come to the conclusion that the bulky waters are better ;/

All boils down to opinion at the end of the day though so whatever.
